Shock covers most of our faces at that admission.

“What all of them?” Psycho asks.

Liv nods her head and then lays back on my shoulder.

“Get me out of here, please,” she tells me.

She doesn’t need to be asked twice. Giving Psycho a chin lift, he knows what to do. I turn and make my way out of the basement and Mayhem is in front of me opening doors. A quick check behind me and I notice Foogy is helping Voodoo with Trader helping Judge. Ford and Archer have stayed behind to help Psycho. Everyone else is leaving with us. Leaving the van here, I slide into the back seat of the car and Mayhem jumps into the driver’s seat.

“We need to get to the hospital,” I tell him.

Nodding, he sets off. I hold Liv a little tighter and kiss her hair. She is covered in bruises; her hair is matted with dried blood; her face is also starting to swell a little. It feels like she’s struggling to breath. and I start to panic.

“Liv, you, okay?”

She slowly opens her eyes and I panic more as I can see the fear in her eyes. She opens her mouth to speak but no words come out.

‘Liv, stay with me baby, I need you to stay with me. Mayhem drive faster,” I shout.

He can hear the panic in my voice and the car picks up speed. The warehouse is close to the hospital, so it’s not far to go.

“Liv please, don’t leave me. I love you,” I beg.

Mayhem flies into the hospital and stops right outside the emergency doors. The passenger door swings open and Twisted is there helping me out with Liv still in my arms. Mayhem must have run inside. We run into the hospital to be greeted with Mayhem shouting for help. A nurse ushers me through and tells me to lay Liv down on a bed. A doctor appears and I’m pushed out of the cubical.

“Go wait in the waiting room and we will come find you. What’s her name?” The nurse asks.

I just stand there, watching the doctor and another nurse start to assess Liv.

“Olivia Banks,” Mayhem replies for me.

“Okay, go wait in reception,” she orders as she turns back around and closes the curtain, so I can no longer see Liv.

“Come on brother, let’s go wait,” Mayhem says and steers me back the way we came.

I take a seat in the ugly, uncomfortable plastic chairs, resting my elbows on my knees, and dropping my head into my hands.

“I can't lose her,” I choke on the words, as my fear spills from my mouth.

“You won’t. That girl is fighter and she loves you. No way is she giving you up without fighting like hell. She could have given up at any point while she was taken, but she didn’t and she won’t now.”

He sounds so sure that I have to believe him. Mayhem is my best friend and he wouldn’t lie to me. Not about something as important as this.

Itfeels like hours have passed and still no update. Slowly all the brothers have been joining us. In the end, there is that many of us, we are now waiting in a private room. I think my pacing and growling at staff was scaring them.

Do I care? Not a single fucking bit. I need to know something, anything.

Voodoo and Judge have also joined us after getting patched up. Both are okay really, just a little battered and dehydrated but neither would be admitted. Finally, after what feels like half of my life but looking at the clock, it’s only been five hours, a doctor comes into the room.

“Olivia Banks’ family?” he asks.

“I’m her man, this is her dad and her brothers,” I tell him, standing up.

He nods, and thank God he doesn’t ask any further questions.

“Olivia is going to be fine. During her attack, a rib fractured at some point, a small piece of bone dislodged and punctured her lung, causing it to collapse. We took her into surgery and repaired the puncture, re-inflating her lung. Her left shoulder was dislocated and this has also been set back into place. She has a lot of bruising, swelling and cuts. She needs rest and to heal, but otherwise, she will make a full recovery.”

I feel like I can finally breath but a ton of guilt lands directly onto me, causing me to drop into my chair.
