“Thank you for trusting me. I love you, Carrie,” he declares.

Smiling up at him, I kiss the end of his nose.

“That was amazing. I love you too, Jason,” I admit.

We lay there quietly, my brain working a mile a minute, and before I can stop myself, I blurt out, “Move in.”

He pulls away so he can look at me.

“What?” he asks, complete shock on his face.

“Move in. I want us to be a family,” I tell him.

Rolling over, he covers my face in kisses.

“You’ve made me the happiest man in the world twice tonight, Babydoll.”

I laugh as he continues to cover my face in kisses.

EPILOGUE

CARRIE

The last few months have been incredible. Joker had moved in with Beau and me. We’re a real family like we’d always dreamed of. Beau is going from strength to strength, especially now with his dad living with us.

Joker had mentioned making me his ol’ lady a few times, but I’ve told him I’m not ready for that yet. Baby steps. I understand how important and what it means to him to have me wearing his property patch, but after being‘owned’for so long by someone else, I’m just not ready to be branded as someone’s property. Not even Jason’s. We’re living together; we have a child together and are building a life with our extended club family together. I’m not going anywhere soon.

Tonight, we’re having a huge family barbecue to welcome my little brother as a new patched-in member. Johnny has worked so hard, and I couldn’t be prouder of him for earning his patch. Dad has been walking around like he’s on cloud nine recently. I know this has something to do with Agnes. I’m happy for them as they both deserve some happiness.

Leaving the clubhouse kitchen, I help the other ol’ ladies take the food outside to the long tables that have been set up near the grills. Wolf and Prez are in charge of the barbecue. Beau is playing on the playground with a few of the other club kids. Tank and Joker are drinking beer nearby, watching them. Heading over to them, I slip under Joker’s arm. He places a kiss on my head.

“Having fun?” I ask.

“Yeah, Tank was just telling me about this girl he met at the range. Gave him a run for his money,” laughs Joker.

Looking over at Tank, he just shrugs his shoulders like it’s no big deal.

“She better than me?” I tease.

I’ve come a long way with my training, and I’m now a better shot than some of the brothers.

“Yeah, gorgeous, she’s better than even Gunny,” he admits.

My eyes widen at that. Gunny got his name for being a gunnery sergeant. The man could shoot any target and hit dead center. She must be pretty amazing to beat him. Watching Tank, he gets this look in his eye. Yeah, I bet this girl is hot. Trouble always seems to follow hot girls around here.

JOKER

I watch Carrie tease Tank about this girl from the range. Even she can see the look in his eyes. I can see trouble in his future. All women are trouble, but they are worth the pain.

I watch Carrie as she walks around the yard, chatting with everyone and making sure the single brothers have food. I can’t drag my eyes from her curves. Fuck, my girl has curves in all the right places, and she drives me wild with how innocent yet trusting she is.

The more we’re together, the braver she’s becoming with stuff she’d let me do in the bedroom. I never want to do anything that would remind her of what happened. But on the advice of Dr. Wood, we have slowly been trying new things and replacing the bad memories with good. Carrie owns my soul, and I would do anything for her and Beau.

She turns to look at me and winks while running her hand suggestively down her hip. Yeah, my vixen is feeling frisky tonight. I start over to her, throwing my beer in an empty barrel. Reaching her, I press my shoulder into her stomach and pick her up over my shoulder. Striding for the clubhouse, I call to Tank.

“Watch Beau.”

We carry on inside to catcalls and whistles.

Fuck I love my life.
