“You want to?”

“Of course, I want to. Why wouldn’t I want to get to know your family?”

The way she calls them family and not friends causes my heart to skip a beat. It’s like she understands, which is a plus in my books, but also makes me wonder how she gets it.

“Not many do. They just wanna fuck a bad boy, take a walk on the wild side and then go back to their normal lives,” I tell her, a little sadly.

“Good job, I’m not everybody then,” she says sweetly as she cups my cheek and kisses me.

“Fucking amazing job, darlin’,” I reply, and we walk back to the booth where my brothers are.

“Boys, this is Pandora. Darlin’, this is Wrench, Angel, Wire, and Rafe.”

“Nice to meet you boys,” she says with a wave.

“Just going to tell the girls I’m leaving. Be back in a minute,” she says and disappears into the crowd.

“Fuck brother, where did you find her, and is there another?” Wire asks.

“Met her at the range a few weeks ago. We’ve had coffee, and I like her,” I tell them honestly.

Each of them has a shocked look on their face.

“What?”

“Well, well, the mighty Tank has fallen. Welcome to the club, brother,” Angel says with a laugh.

“Thanks, man. How’s Stevie? Not seen her in a while?” I ask him, thinking now is a good time to broach the subject.

“Fuck, brother, it’s not good,” he says, running his hands through his hair, looking stressed.

“Talk to us. We’re here for you, brother. You and Stevie,” Wrench says.

All the boys are now looking serious.

“Stevie had a miscarriage. We’ve been trying for a while, and nothing. So, when she finally got pregnant, we were over the moon. She’s wanted this for so long, and it’s just devastated her,” he tells us, emotion clogging his throat.

“Fuck, brother, I’m so sorry. How long ago was this?” I ask.

“About a month ago. Stevie really isn’t handling it well. It’s not the first miscarriage we’ve had, but she’s always been so strong. Now, Jesus, she won’t get out of bed. When she does, it’s for food and booze. It’s killing me seeing her like this and not being able to do anything about it,” he looks like he’s almost close to tears.

“We’ll help, brother. You’re not alone. Neither of you are. Maybe talk to Carrie and see if she can help. We’re family. Don’t suffer alone,” I tell him and give him a one-arm hug.

“Thanks, man, that’s a good idea about talking to Carrie. Sorry, didn’t mean to wreck the night.”

“Not a problem at all. We’re your brothers, and you can always talk to us,” Rafe tells him, and the rest of us just nod.

“Erm, you ready, Tank?” Pandora asks quietly from beside me.

“Yeah, darlin’,” I say, getting up.

“Stay if you need to. We can always meet up another time,” she tells me as if she can read the atmosphere at the table.

“He’s good Pandora, enjoy the rest of your night,” Angel tells her as he pats me on the shoulder.

“Later.” I wave at them.

Leaving the club, I look at my bike and then her skirt, wondering how the hell she’s going to get on the back, as it’s tight as hell and past her knees.
