PANDORA

Fuck, this is bad. He actually thinks I would betray him like that. Turning to face Lukas, he has that fucking smug smirk on his face again. I cannot wait to wipe it off. Pure hatred is the only emotion I feel for him.

“What do you want with me, Lukas?” I demand.

“Ah yes. What I want is your father’s empire.”

The laughter bubbles up and out my mouth before I can stop it.

“Are you fucking serious? You think my father is just going to hand Houston over to you?” He cannot be serious.

“No, but he will to his son-in-law after his death,” his reply makes my blood run cold.

“His death?”

“Yes, my dear Pandora. You are going to marry me and then kill your father. Making sure, before you do, he names me his successor.”

Wow, he really is delusional.

“There are so many things wrong with your plan. One, like hell, am I marrying you. Two, I’m not going to kill my own father.”

He looks me up and down with an evil glint in his eye. That glint reminds me of his insurance policy. I slowly move my hand to the watch I wear and click the small button on the side twice.

“That insurance policy you mentioned, if I don’t marry you and kill my father after I’ve ensured he names you his successor. You will expose Phoenix, kill Tank, and the whole MC. Have I left anything out?” I check to ensure Willow is getting everything she needs.

The small button I pressed makes my watch a recording device, and the video goes straight to Willow. Hopefully, she can find his policy quickly.

“That about sums it up.”

Cocky fucker.

“You really seem to have thought all this through, except no way, am I marrying you, and my father won't name you his successor. You know the familia doesn’t work that way. You would need to be an underboss, but you’re not even part of it. The others would not allow it.”

His smirk quickly falls.

“Then, we will find another way. I want that empire,” he growls.

“If you want an empire, put in the hard work and earn it. Don’t steal it from someone else. There is no respect or honor in that.”

I can tell my words are pissing him off and making him angrier.

“You can’t even kidnap me properly. You drug me to knock me out, but then don’t move me anywhere or even tie me up. Why was the drugging necessary?”

I’m so confused by his actions and thoughts. It’s like he’s losing control. Men who are not in control are dangerous.

“I need time to think. To make a plan, I knew you wouldn’t wait around while I put things in motion,” he shouts, running his hands through his hair.

“So, the plan you came up with is to marry me and have me kill my father? How long was I out, as that is the stupidest plan I’ve heard of?”

“Don’t call me stupid,” he screams, his eyes are large as saucers, making me think he’s taken something.

“I said the plan was stupid, not that you were stupid.” I try to calm him.

“The plan is not stupid. It will work. I know it will. It has to work. If I don’t have the empire, I don’t have the money, and they will kill me,” he starts to rant.

“Who will kill you, Lukas?”

His eyes shoot up to me, his face frantic.
