“Fuck you,” I respond and he snickers.
“Who’s getting married,” Minx asks from behind me.
“Holy shit, Minx!” I turn to face her. “No one is. Mav is being an asshole.”
“Mhmm.” She eyes me suspiciously.
“Did you talk to Wren?”
“Yeah, she’s okay.” Minx walks toward the clubhouse.
“That’s all you’re gonna tell me?” I call out to her. She nods her head before walking in the building. What in the actual fuck is going on around here?I walk inside and straight to the bar. Bull gave Lolita and Tink the day off since Buster and Cali got married yesterday. Instead, there’s a prospect behind the bar.
“Is it too early to drink,” I ask Chains.
“It’s never too early,” he responds. “What can I get ya?”
“I’ll have a soda for now.” He pulls a can of Coke out of the cooler and sets it in front of me.
“Hey, baby.” Coco, one of the cut bunnies, rubs her hand across my shoulder. “Can I get you anything?”
“Not right now, Coco.”
“Not even a massage?” she draws out.
“No.” I deadpan.
“Beat it, Coco. We got shit to talk about,” Sketch tells her. He sits next to me, and Coco walks away, sulking. “You talk to Wren?”
“Yeah,” I respond.
“She say anything?”
“Nope. She caught an attitude and walked away from me,” I tell him.
“She’s had a lot of that lately.” he shakes his head.
“You have a thing for my sister,” I ask and his eyes bug out.
“What? No way,” he responds a little too fast. I glare at him for a beat, then let it go. It wouldn't be that bad if he did. She could do worse. In fact, her current boyfriend is worse. I haven’t even met the guy and I don’t fucking like him.
“How did the rest of the reception go?”
“Eh.” He shrugs. “The happy couple went to bed shortly after y’all left.”
“I figured they would,” I reply.
“Where did y’all end up going?”
“To Bluez Lounge,” I tell him.
“Oh, that place Wren’s roommate works?”
“How the fuck did you know that,” I question him.
“Wren and I talked about a lot when we were on lockdown,” he reminds me. “Were there any hot chicks there?”
“Yeah.” I snicker.
