“Wait, has Shade met him,” Minx asks. Wren shakes her head. “You’ve been dating him for how long? And your own brother hasn’t even met him?”

“I don’t want Shade scaring him away,” Wren admits.

“Honey, if he gets scared away by your brother then he isn’t the one,” I tell her. She lets out a heavy sigh.

“Maybe I’ll have him come to the BBQ next Sunday so everyone can meet him,” she decides. She turns to me. “You and I are still going on that double date though.”

“Okay.” I shrug with a grin. Wren and Minx get a game started while Rivet and I watch. I glance around the room, my eyes landing on Shade’s, who is already staring at me, ignoring the cut bunny on his lap. He smirks at me then whispers something in the girl’s ear, a smile stretching across her face.

“How did you and Wren meet?” Rivet pulls my attention away from Shade.

“Three years ago, I had an ad up around the college looking for a roommate. She was the fifth person to call about it, so I wasn’t hopeful. When we met, we kind of just clicked and moved her in the next day,” I explain. “We’re opposites in a lot of ways, but we’ve always made it work.”

“It’s nice when life works out like that,” she replies.

“Yeah, it is.” I smile.

“You ladies up for playing teams,” one of the brothers asks, walking up to Rivet and I. I glance at his cut.

“Sure, Buzz.” I wink at him. He’s not bad looking. He has a military-style haircut, muscular, and tattoos coloring his arms. Buzz gives me a lazy smile and his eyes roam over my body. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Shade staring daggers. Two can play this game.

“Me and Sienna vs you and Kicks,” Rivet states, jumping out of her chair. We move to another pool table since Minx and Wren are still playing their game. I rack the balls as Shade and Sketch walk over.

“I have some balls you can play with,” Shade says to me. I roll my eyes. Sketch shakes his head like he knows something.

“Shade!” Wren chastises him. She gives me an apologetic look. “Ignore him, he’s a perv.”

“It’s okay, Wren. I’ve heard worse from guys at the bar,” I tell her. I walk past Buzz, intentionally brushing my shoulder against his. “Your shot.” I stand between Rivet and Shade, watching Buzz take his shot. Shade’s hand grazes mine. It sends a little shock up my arm. I cross my arms over my chest and he chuckles. Buzz makes two stripes before missing.

“You’re up,” Rivet says to me. I grab a cue stick. Looking at the table, I grin. I have a perfect shot lined up. I lean over, lining my cue up with the ball. I push my ass out more than needed. A sharp inhale lets me know he’s paying attention.

“Damn,” Buzz mumbles. I hit the ball, sinking the five. My next shot, I scratch. I stand on the opposite side of the table this time. Buzz finds his way over to me. “You’re new around here.”

“Sienna,” I introduce myself. “Wren’s shitty best friend that hasn’t been around much.”

“I assume that’s changing?” he replies.

“Yeah, it is.” I smile. Shade’s stare is boring into me, but I don’t look his way. We finish our game, Rivet and I win but choose to let the guys play a game of their own.

“What do y’all think of ordering pizza for dinner,” Minx asks.

“Sounds good to me,” I tell her.

“I’m always down for pizza,” Rivet responds.

“Sure,” Wren says, staring at her phone. “I’ll be back in a little bit. I’m going to run up to the house.”

“This is the most she’s been out of the house since we haven’t been on lockdown,” Minx says. I shake my head.

“Ten bucks says it has something to do with Zack,” I mumble. “Where’s the bathroom?”

“Down the hall. First door on the right,” Minx tells me. “I’m going to go talk to Raze about ordering pizza.”

Minx walks to Raze at the bar while I head to the bathroom. When I walk back out, I’m shoved up against the hall wall. Face to face with Shade, my heart starts pounding.

“You can bet your sexy little ass I’m not gonna forget about last night.” He grinds himself against me, letting me feel his already hard cock. “And I’m gonna make damn sure you don’t either.” He crashes his lips down on mine. He pulls away too soon, leaving me wanting more. He walks down the hallway, disappearing into a room while I stand there breathless, feeling like a fool.
