“Ordering a buffet of dishes from FoodDash,” Rivet says, not taking her eyes off her phone.

“Great! I’m starving,” Tink replies. We order food and decide on a movie to turn on. An hour later, we’ve eaten and started drinking.

“We should play never have I ever,” Sienna recommends.

“I’m in!” I say.

“Yes,” Minx shouts.

“I’ve never played before,” Wren admits.

“We each take turns saying something we’ve never done. If you’ve done it at any point in your life, you drink,” Tink explains.

“Sounds fun, but, uh . . .” Wren pauses. “I can’t drink.”

“Wh—” Sienna’s eyes go wide. “Are you pregnant?” she shouts, a smile stretching across her face.

Wren grins, nodding her head. “We were planning on telling everyone soon.”

“How far along are you,” Minx asks.

“Twelve weeks today,” she says.

“Well, then you can keep drinking whatever it is you’re drinking while we get drunk.” Rivet laughs. “I’ll go first. Never have I ever danced on a table or bar.”

Tink, Sienna, and I all take a drink.

“Those two have worked in bars.” Minx points to Tink and Sienna. “So, I’m not surprised they have. What’s your story?”

“I got wasted on my twenty-first birthday, and my friends talked me into dancing on a bar,” I tell them.

“My turn. Never have I ever flirted with a police officer in hopes of not getting a ticket,” Tink states.

Minx and Rivet drink while Wren sips her nonalcoholic drink.

“Wren! Really?” Sienna looks surprised.

“Yeah, I was young and accidentally ran a stop sign, and I didn’t want my dad getting mad at me for getting a ticket. My turn,” she asks. Sienna nods. “Never have I ever done it in a public place.”

All of us, minus Wren and Minx, drink. I high-five Sienna, who’s sitting next to me.

“That’s actually how I met Shade.” Sienna laughs. We go a few more rounds, and I start getting tipsy. Wren’s been dozing off for the past twenty minutes, and Rivet is laying down, ready to pass out any minute.

“Anyone want to go down to the clubhouse and play a game or two of pool,” Minx asks.

“I’ll go,” I say.

“Me too,” Tink adds.

“Those two are out for the night.” Sienna points to Rivet and Wren. “I’m with them. I’m exhausted.”

“Suit yourselves. Let's go, girls!” Minx hops up, ready to go. Tink and I follow her out the door.

“Where are you three off to,” Chains asks.

“Back to the clubhouse,” I say, bouncing down the stairs of the porch.

“Ah, fuck,” he mutters. “Wait for me.”
