Buster laughs. “He ain’t ridin’ a bike before he learns to race my car.”

“We’ll see about that.” Rascal gives Buster a playful glare.

“You idiots forget I’m his mom and I don’t approve of either of those until he’s at least eighteen,” Cali throws out.

Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Hollywood and Diesel grinning at each other. Those two are up to something.

“Alright, alright. I’ll wait until he’s five.” Rascal laughs.

“We’re going to bed,” Cali says, ignoring Rascal. Buster gives Cali and Caden each a kiss, telling them good night and they disappear down the hallway.

Rascal slaps Buster on the back. “How does it feel for your son to be turning one?”

“Unreal. It’s been one wild ride,” Buster tells him. “They grow up in the blink of an eye.”

“Tell me about it.” Sketch sighs. “I’m not ready for my baby girl to grow up.”

“Y’all sappy fucks need to grow a pair.” Bull chuckles. “Just wait until they’re old enough to join the club or date a brother.”

Sketch and Buster groan, making Bull and Ratchet laugh full belly laughs. It warms my heart to see Bull happy and carefree.

“Who’s ready to do some decorating?” Minx asks, smiling from ear to ear. “Raze, Rascal, go get the boxes and bring them outside, please.”

“Emma and Bash brought the cake and cookies this afternoon,” Sienna tells Minx.

“Perfect! Cali is gonna freak when she sees everything,” Minx replies.

We follow the guys to the backyard and spend the next two hours decorating the backyard to look like outer space.

Bull walks up behind me, wrapping his arms around me. “It looks good, Goddess. Cali is gonna love it.”

“I can’t wait for her to see it,” I say.

“Tomorrow. For now, let’s go get some rest.” Bull guides me inside and to his room. I get changed and crawl into bed, falling asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

The next morning, I wake up to Bull sitting on the edge of the bed smiling at me.

“Good morning, beautiful. I brought you coffee,” he says, handing me a mug. I sit up and take it from him, taking a small sip.

“Thank you,” I tell him. “Not that I don’t enjoy waking up to you giving me fresh coffee, but what brought this on?”

“I wanted to do something nice for you,” he says.

“Well, aren’t you the sweetest?” I giggle.

“Only for you, Goddess.” He kisses my forehead. “Now, time to get up and get movin’. Cali and Caden will be up any minute.”

“Oh, so that’s what this is really about, huh?” I ask on a laugh.

“What? It’s his first birthday and he’s the first Savage of a new generation.” Bull shrugs.

“Alright, good point, Mr. President,” I tease. “I’ll get up.”

“Keep pokin’ the bear and see what happens.” He gives me a mischievous grin.

I take another sip of my coffee before setting it on the bedside table. Throwing the blankets off myself, I climb out of bed. Once I change into some clean clothes, Bull stands from the bed. Together, we walk out to the main room. Buster has Caden with him, but there’s no sign of Cali. Caden squeals when he sees Bull and I walk into the room and comes waddling toward us.

“Hey, little Savage!” Bull scoops him into his arms. “Happy birthday!”
