“Right?” he says, getting excited. “From the first kiss, this has felt timeless.”

West lowers his head and lightly kisses my lips. I exhale when he lifts his head.

“Perhaps we’ve been more to each other before? In other lives.” I don’t know if I fully believe that, but I love the idea of it.

“I’ll find you in every one, Nyx.”

“I’ll hold you to that, Hero,” I smile.

We lean on each other and take in the mountain autumn view. The aromas of the Festival tickle my senses, and a serene sense of security falls in place as West’s sandalwood and fresh forest rain scent envelop me into this place of belonging. All at once, I see our future, full of Sunday dinners, countless intimate pillow talks, supporting each other’s wins, adventures, and tons and tons of orgasms.

It’s not just good to be home, but to have also found it.

EPILOGUE

WEST

Nine Months Later

July heat risesas I work, cleaning up the property around our home. Beckett and I put up a fence around the entire perimeter of my house with space to dig out a pool. Camille told me a few months back how she loved going swimming at the local community center in Silver Lakes.

This won’t work year-round until I build a structure over it later this year, but before next summer, I’ll give my girl her pool.

For now, we secure the area for gathering as we foresee Hunter kids in the near future. My niece Amelia Rose was just born three weeks ago. Asher and Sierra haven’t stopped staring at her. I keep my little man, Ryder, entertained while they gawk at Amelia’s cute cheeks.

Beckett’s been getting baby fever along with Grace. Any day now, I won’t be surprised if we hear news.

A flirty whistle carries into the wind. I turn and watch my beautiful goddess descend the steps.

“Shirtless and sweaty? Are you trying to get laid?” she calls out, smiling.

“Anytime. Anywhere,” I grin. And it’s true. We’ve literally done it everywhere.

“I’ll keep the anticipation building as I need to head into town and meet with my client.”

I hook her around the waist and hold her against me.

“Hero, you’re getting me all sweaty,” she laughs, but I love this woman. She doesn’t care.

Camille stretches up on her tiptoes and kisses me. Blame the summer heat, but I deepen it, already missing being inside her. It’s been…five hours? A travesty, really.

Moaning sweetly, she pulls away. “I have to get ready and go, honey. I’ll pick up roast beef sandwiches.”

“Mm. You’re too good to me. Keep it up, and I’ll lock you in my tower until you take my name and you’re mine forever,” I tease. I’ve been teasing marriage for months.

I learned from my brothers. When you know, you know.

“Don’t threaten me with a good time,” she laughs, kissing my smiling mouth before heading back inside.

“On second thought, why don’t we go visit Amelia Rose later?”

“Woman, do you have baby fever too?” She’s been obsessed with wanting to spoil little Amelia ever since she kicked against her palm in Sierra’s stomach.

“Don’t tempt me with a good time,” she repeats cheekily, winking before running inside.

She’s treading on dangerous ice if she thinks I won’t work at putting our baby in her today. Wait.

I drop my tools and run up my back porch steps, searching for her inside. She’s in the bathroom, naked, about to hop into the steaming shower. I brace my hands against the door frame, and she looks over her shoulder at me while clipping up her long, raven black hair.
