Yeah, that’s what I thought.
“What do you want, Rosier?” she whispered up to him.
“A lot of things, Ellea” he said, bringing his mouth close to hers. “But tonight, I want to take you to dinner.”
“To dinner?” It was a squeak as she questioned him.
He gripped her hair tighter, and she bit her lip. “On a date,” he said.
“A date?” Her gaze quickly switched from heated to confused, and when he grasped her lip with his teeth, she closed her eyes and leaned into him fully.
He released her lip and leaned back to take in her face. It was beautifully flushed, and her eyes glinted in the low light. “Yes, a date. To get to know you better. Talk and stuff.”
“Talk?” she asked, and he cocked a brow at her constant questioning. “Is that what you want?”
“No. Well, yes,” he stuttered.
“No? You don’t want to get to know me better, or no, you don’t want to talk?” She grinned at his scowl.
“I do, but right now I just want to bend you over the bed of my truck,” he growled to her lips.
She kissed him swiftly, and it caught him off guard. It was too quick, and she leaned back the best she could with his hand still wrapped around her hair. “I’m starving.”
“For food or my cock, princess?” he asked, tightening his grip on her. She whimpered as she melted into him, but then her stomach growled. He let her go. “You seriously need to eat more.”
She rolled her eyes at him as she adjusted to not being held.
“Keep it up and I’ll spank you after the first course.”
“Promise?” she smirked at him.
Gods, she was trouble. He grabbed her hand and led her toward the sidewalk.
“Where are you taking me?” she asked, looking around.
“Over here,” he said, pointing to a small restaurant two buildings behind Ag’s. It was one of his favorites, and they had the best steak in the area. They had pretty much anything, so he was sure Ellea could find something she liked.
“Four Kings?” She looked at the small restaurant. “It looks closed.”
Ros smiled at her questioning look. “It is closed.”
Her face was priceless as he led her down the street and into the warm restaurant. He locked the door behind them, and she gave him another questioning look.
“I can always count on you to be creepy,” she said with a grin.
“Welcome,” a man’s voice said, and Ellea jumped.
“Ellea, this is Lucifer,” Ros said. She looked horrified. Both men chuckled. “Not that Lucifer.”
“Hey, don’t say that too loud; it helps keep the seats filled,” Lucifer said with a sinister smile. He reached out to shake her hand. She eyed both of them before taking it.
“Nice to meet you,” she mumbled.
“You too,” he said respectfully. “Well, choose a seat, they’re all open.”
He winked at them and Ellea turned back to Ros with a confused look on her face as Lucifer headed to the back.
“I asked him for a favor,” Ros said. “I figured you’ve had enough time around people lately.”
