Ellea gave him a small pout, and Sam seemed to be pressing more weight into Ros’ legs. He turned on his side the best he could, reaching for her to come closer.

“How are you feeling?” he asked, brushing her hair behind her ear.

“Better,” she said, closing her eyes and leaning into his touch. “Let’s go see your father.”

“Actually, it will just be Garm and I first.” He sighed as she gave him a look. “It’s father-son business; I’m not hiding anything.”

“Right,” she mocked, sounding like Duhne.

“You need to rest, maybe go for a walk with the rest of our harem.”

Ellea choked on a laugh. “You don’t even know what a harem is, old man.”

“Hey, I read some of your books while you were busy wooing my father and fucking up his kingdom.”

“It’s not only his kingdom,” Ellea said. “There are others…hey! What books did you read?”

“I got up to the fifth book of the series I bought you.” Ros thought for a moment, trying to remember the name. “The one with the cock pocket?”

A pretty blush crept across her cheeks, and her gray eyes got wide.

“The one with the guy and girl shifters and the…” She paused, glancing down at Sam, who had his head turned away.

“The wolf with two cocks for both his lovers?” Ros said loudly, and Sam jerked his head up.

“Dual Force, A Wolf and His Mates,” Ellea whispered.

“That’s the one.” He kissed her on the forehead. “I especially liked when—”

“Don’t say it,” she said, covering his mouth with her hand.

“Are you embarrassed of your books, princess?”

Billy coughed, trying to hide her laugh, and he could feel Garm slowly inching toward the end of the bed.

“Never. But when we are in a bed full of our friends, I would rather not talk about how the character used both of his dicks…at the same time.”

“I can’t say it didn’t give me ideas,” he growled, leaning in to kiss her more.

“That’s enough of that,” Devon said, sliding out of bed and dragging Sam with him.

Sam’s tongue lolled out of his mouth as he looked back at them, and Ros could only imagine what was running through his mind. Billy followed, and Garm bolted from the room.

I’ll see you in twenty minutes, Garm said telepathically before he closed the bedroom door.

“You’re the worst,” she said, hitting his chest.

“I am.” He kissed the top of her head. “Come shower with me before I have to head out.”

Ellea gave him a coy smile and stretched lazily. He would give anything to have her so relaxed and happy, especially after such a rough night. He would never admit it, but he was grateful for their friends coming in…even if he wasn’t one for sharing their bed.

Ros and Garm strolled into his father’s study, and Asmodeus was staring out the window lit by the bright morning sun. Ros had loved his office as a boy, pulling down the many volumes and reading what he could. Now he wasn’t so sure. He knew that one day he would be in the same position, but no matter his father’s faults, Ros could not imagine a world where he was not king.

“Father,” Ros said, and he turned toward him.

Garm bowed low, and his father nodded his head at the hound.

“Rosier, how is our princess?”
