“I missed that.”
“I said, it’s such a pleasure to meet you. Shall we?”
I chuckled because that damn sure wasn’t what the fuck she said but I was gonna let her live. I pushed my earbud back in place and followed her outside. When I noticed her heading to a little ass BMW, one of them electric shits ,I frowned and paused my trek.
“That’s your ride.”
“Yes, why?”
“I can’t fit in that baby ass shit.”
She looked me over from head to toe and shrugged. “You’ll fit. You just have to push the seat back.” She marched to the toy and was about to open the door but I reached around her and grabbed the handle.
“Chill, man. I have manners and you damn sure ain’t opening doors for me.” I ground out and nudged her out of the way before I rounded her little ass car to the driver’s side, where I opened the door and pointed to it. “Get in.”
She rolled her eyes but did as I asked, yanking the door closed before I could handle it myself.
I shook my head and moved to the passenger side, praying the first house we pulled up to was decent enough because Idamn sure wasn’t going to survive viewing eight properties with her little mean ass.
Chapter 2
Xiah Perry
Arrogant.Entitled. Asshole.
Sexy. Arrogant. Entitled. Asshole.
Fuck him and his rudeness.
How do you need someone and give them your ass to kiss?
Like seriously?
I should have walked right on up out of The Metropolitan, sent Sovoya a text to find her client a new realtor, and drove right on back to my apartment.
Should have but didn’t because the rent is due at that very overpriced apartment I chose to be close to everything and so is the note on my so-called little ass shit I was currently chauffeuring Mr. Fine Rude Ass around in.
And to my point, he fit…barely.
I could see him in the corner of my eye looking incredibly uncomfortable with his long legs touching the dash and arms placed awkwardly in his lap because there wasn’t anywhere else for them to go.Ha, that’s what you get. Suffer through this forty-minute drive out to Chandler Heights, buddy.
Yes, my car was little, but it worked for me and she was adorably classy. A statement car and environmentally friendly because it was electric. So again, fuck you, sir.
All of these thoughts were very relevant and I should have said them out loud to his face but I was currently one sale from losing my position at Crescent Pointe Properties. My boss and broker, Kinsley Jacobs, was the absolute best but she was also running a lucrative agency. If I couldn’t contribute to the success of said agency, she would have no choice but to fire me.
Because of this very annoying detail, I was going to be kind to the rude ass man crammed not so comfortably into my passenger seat. I cut my eyes in his direction and was grateful the hood tossed over his head hid his unfairly handsome face or he would have caught me rolling my eyes for what had to be the hundredth time. How do you spend twenty minutes in the car with someone and not even acknowledge them? From the time we left the hotel, he sat beside me bobbing his head to whatever the hell he was listening to and scrolling through his phone.
No casual conversation about the weather, traffic, or what properties I planned on showing him. No idle chit chat about his newly acquired spot with the Royals or his time overseas playing in Dubai. Now that really worked my nerves because I didn’t know a damn thing about basketball and purposely stayed up until four in the morning educating myself, not just on the sport itself, but learning specifics about Yaakov Vaughn. I learned random stats about this man, such as his shooting average from three point range, assist to turnover ratio and free throw percentage. All of which were very impressive according to the articles I read on him.
The sexy, rude asshole was apparently skilled at basketball but had less than adequate abilities in the social department. I rolled my eyes yet again as we pulled up to the guard house at the gated entrance of the neighborhood where the first three houses were located.
I checked in with the rent-a-cop by handing over my license. After he did a full inspection paired with a scan of my face, Imotioned to the Crescent Point Properties nametag on my blazer and signed off on the access sheet before he opened the gate to let us in.
At this point, if my passenger wasn’t rudely ignoring me, I would have mentioned the privilege of having a gated entrance with twenty-four hour security. I would have noted that all residents are issued sensors for their cars to open the gates, as well as a keycard that could be swiped over the scanner to gain entry.
I rattled off my spiel in my head and rolled my eyes again before navigating to the left access point of the neighborhood where I pulled into a lengthy driveway that split into a circular drive to the left and a four-car garage to the right. There was an additional detached three-car garage directly behind it. All details I would have gladly shared but…Nope, fuck you, sir.
I groaned as I parked because as much as I wanted to discuss the perks of this multi-million-dollar property, I needed him to be excited about it, or at least one of them on the list. If this was how today was going to go, then it would be impossible to convince him that one of the eight was his dream home.
