Estrella lets out a breath before she nods her head. “I understand. I’m good with that.”

“What about the things we do expect you to do? You know what our clients are going to want you to do?”

I sit back in my seat, waiting for her to fold her hand. Give up. Waiting for her to rush out the front door like the woman before her.

Estrella’s face goes ashen, which is hard since she has a naturally a sun-kissed tan complexion. Finally, something that’s going to get under her skin. She flinches before she opens hermouth to answer, and for half a second, I almost regret it. Almost.

“Do I have to? I mean, if it’s something I don’t like or not my preference, will I be forced to?—”

Coca takes several angry steps in her direction. “No. Absolutely not. My girls are all well taken care of and protected. A client may choose you to have some fun with, but you have the final say. Consent is mandatory for all parties involved.”

Coca gentles her gaze on Estrella for a second, nodding softly before she turns those piercing eyes on me. The disappointment is gone. Now all I see is anger.Coca’s glare burns through me. She doesn’t say it out loud, but I can see the words in her eyes—You’re crossing the line.

I’m going to have to deal with that later.

“Okay, as long as it’s my choice. I understand,” Estrella replies.

“Yes, your choice, but it wouldn’t be smart of us to sign you on if you’re not open to more than just the ordinary. Most of these clients can get an ordinary fuck from anywhere. They come here for the thrill, the exotic, the dream. Can you sell the dream?”

Estrella nods her head.

She’s close to cracking, but somehow she manages to stay strong. It’s angering me.

“Prove it.” My voice comes out gruff, and I hear some chuckles and expletives coming from the group sitting behind me.My pulse drums in my throat. I know I’ve gone too far, but watching her squirm does something to me. Maybe I want to see her fight. I know for sure I want to see her break.

Digger leans forward with a smirk. Vado stays still, unreadable. AZ drums his fingers against his thigh, a silent warning I ignore.

“Oro, que mierda, what are you talking about? This isn’t part of it.” Coca hisses in my direction.

“Don’t question me, Coca. I know what the hell I’m doing! If she can’t deal, the door is right there.” I snarl back at her.

Her eyes widen briefly, and I know she wants to keep fighting me. It pisses me off because if it had been AZ or Vado or any of the other brothers giving this order, Coca would’ve stood in the corner with her mouth closed.

Thankfully, she doesn’t say another word, just moves away from me to go stand next to Vado. I’m sure she’s about to give him an earful.

“What do you mean, prove it?” Estrella asks, her voice softer, more of a whisper.

“How about we start with something simple. We like to make sure all of our guests have the very best options to choose from. They deserve the best. Show us what they’re going to get.”

Estrella

Oro’s words echo in my ears.

He wants me to prove it. Wants me to put myself on display. He wants a show.

My stomach tightens in knots, and the familiar feeling of bile rushing up my throat has me gulping hard.

He’s not the first person who’s asked me to put on a show for him. I was trained to entertain, to become the woman any man would dream about.

Trained to put my best assets out first.

I just never thought I’d have to do this again.

I close my eyes and repeat the same thing I’ve been saying to myself for the past few days. “It’s the only way. I’d rather it be me than them.”

“What do you want to see?” I ask, trying my hardest to keep my voice from wavering.
