“I want you to watch me take you,” he whispers, fumbling with the tie secured around my eyes. I nod, permitting him as the room comes into focus again. He reaches over and takes another condom, rolling it over his hardness. Sitting back, he brings me into his lap, guiding himself to my entrance. “Look at me, baby girl,” he rasps. “I want to see those beautiful baby blues when I enter you.” I swallow hard, nodding.
His hands guide my hips down, but I do what he says, even as he stretches me. My eyes want to snap shut just from the pleasure of it, but I keep my eyes glued on him, drinking in my reaction. When he’s entirely inside of me, he cups my face, gently kissing the breath from my lungs.
“Up and down, sweetness,” Chase whispers from behind me, placing his hands on my hips. He brings me up, slowly guiding my hips. Zepp never lets go of my face. His lips stay connected to mine like there’s a vine tying us together, and if we break, the world will fall. Chase licks behind my ear, pressing himself to my back. He continues to guide me up and down, sending pleasure jolts through my entire body. I’m like a live wire, buzzing with electricity, needing to spark.
“Oh Zepp,” I moan, with our lips an inch apart. His grip gets harder on my cheeks. His brows furrow in concentration, and his body shakes with mine, and before I can say anything, his lips are on mine again. It’s nothing but teeth and tongue as his body shudders against mine. Chase stops my movements, pressing his forehead against my shoulder, kissing my flesh with such love, it almost burns me.
The aftercare is the best part. After cleaning me with a cool washrag and themselves, they set me up in Chase’s bed. They lay me back in the middle of it, surrounding me with their protective bodies. Chase spoons me from behind. Zepp to my front, with his fingers gliding up and down my arm soothingly. Seger lays above us longways, resting his head with mine, as his feet dangle off the side. His fingers twirl through my hair as I sigh.
I’m a goddess surrounded by these amazing men who pamper me and respect me enough to know when I’ve had enough. Or if I need more. Thoughts flit through my brain as their sleeping snores reach my ears. We’ve been like this for hours now. We’ve talked and listened. And now we’re sleeping peacefully except for me.
My brain is alive, alert, and ready to go over more details. In the back of my mind, there’s something I need to tell them. Something nagging at me. I replay my day. My research, my talk with my mother, and Carter in our little alcove. Temptress. Psshhht. Who is he calling a temptress? He’s the idiot who keeps pulling me into dark places and surrounding me with his body. How well would he fit in with this group? I wonder—OH. I bolt upright, shifting the boy’s bodies beside me. Before my mother called, I researched. And I found her—Victoria.
“What, what? What’s wrong?” Chase is by my side first, eyes roaming my still naked body.
“Baby?” Seger groans from above me, wiping the sleep from his eyes.
“I can’t believe I forgot to tell you,” I whisper-yell, almost horrified with myself that I let myself get so caught up in my sadness with Parkford. I forgot the most crucial part of my day.
“What did you forget?” Zepp asks, sitting up beside me. I swallow hard when the blanket falls, showing off his toned body. Very toned body. Man, football sure is—
“Fuck,” I whisper, wiping a hand down my face. “I looked up that name Carter told me to,” I say frantically, because holy hell, this will give us a leg up. Hopefully, we can find out more information about her.
“Right,” Zepp nods. “Did you find anything?” I nod.
“Yeah, yeah. A lot, actually. It’s crazy to think we didn’t have the right information before. You all said they sent her away for a while after a breakdown, and with the right name, I found out she’s mentally sick.” I shake my head.
“What? Who?” Chase asks, eyeing me and then looking at Zepp’s fallen face.
“You’re telling me… this Victoria Van Buren is actually Piper?” Zepp asks, and I nod confirming what I uncovered today.
“It has her picture in the file and everything. It even mentioned her birth father Lucas Van Buren checked her in.” I shrug.
“Wait a minute,” Seger groans, sitting up too. “Lucas? Isn’t that one of the names you were obsessed with in Shaw’s office?” My eyes widen, my heart skipping a beat.
“Yeah… yeah …. Lucas was one of those names, but do you think it’s related? There have to be a million Lucas’s in this world.” Seger rests on an elbow, looking sleepy.
“In this world, there are no coincidences. If Lucas is her father, then the Lucas from his office is probably in the picture.” Zepp rubs a hand along his jawline, scratching at his stubbly chin.
“You don’t think this Van Buren is related to that guy who built this place, do you?” Chase asks, scrunching his nose in thought, making my eyes snap to him.
“That’s fucking right. A Van Buren built this place,” Seger says, groaning with an arm over his eyes now. He settles back down onto the pillow and sighs. “But why would Piper have to hide behind that name? If this Lucas is her father, where has he been this whole time? This is too much. Way too fucking much for my head right now,” he mumbles, using his free hand to pull me back down. He runs his fingers through my ratty hair, sighing with relief and satisfaction.
“Sounds like more research to me,” Zepp says, stroking his fingers down my arm.
“That shit gets you hard, doesn’t it?” Chase snorts, snuggling into me again. Zepp scoffs at his words but doesn’t deny it.
“So, more fucking questions and not enough fucking answers, exactly what we don’t need right now,” Seger grumbles again.
“We’ll figure it out. It just takes some time.” I try to sound reassuring, but I’m not sure how convincing I am. My name is on a death list, one that’s been in the back of my mind since we found it. When will my time be up? How long do these assholes stalk and play with their prey before they strike?
“Hmmm—well, let’s just try to enjoy this. We have state shit coming up.” Chase perks up, tightening his arms around me. “Will you wear my jersey to the pep rally? Oh shit, that would make my week!” I raise a brow at his enthusiasm.
“Sure. But-uhm-what pep rally exactly?” They all tense and stare at me with narrowed eyes.
“Listen, baby, you’ve been our girlfriend for how long? And you don’t know we took EP to state?” Seger asks, raising his brows. Oh, fuck…no, I didn’t.
“Oh, right! I forgot,” I say, patting his arm with my hand as he rolls his eyes.
