“Deal! If we can have a party every time we win a game.” His body heat presses into my front. “I won’t bring people here if you don’t want them here, Angel.” His lips brush against mine. “I’d never make you uncomfortable in your own house. I’ll make sure people clean up after themselves. If anyone fucks with you, they’re gone. I won’t stand for people disrespecting you, ever.”

I smile against his lips, my eyes still in the dark from Chase’s hands. “That’s fine, Seg. This is your house, too. I know we’ve basically lived together before, but this is a new experience.”

“I love you, Kaycee,” he whispers against my lips again.

“Yeah, and if these shitheads become too fucking rowdy, you can lock yourself in my office, Sweetheart. It’s fucking soundproof for that very reason,” Carter says through a sigh.

“A soundproof room, huh?” Chase teases. “You got a dungeon in there, too? Sex toys? Oh, oh! A swing! Have you shitheads seen those swings? We could tie her up and contort her—“ Chase yelps, yanking his hands from my eyes. I look at his glaring eyes as he stares holes into Carter’s face. “Asshole!” he grits out, rubbing the back of his head. “Shit, that hurt. What was that for?”

“Sex swings? Really, Elf Ears?” Carter asks without any heat behind his words.

“What? People have those! If we can shove a vibrator up her pussy and chase her around a maze, then we sure as shit can bind her to the ceiling and have some fun. Shit,” Chase says passionately, throwing his arms all around.

Carter smirks. “Yeah, maybe you’ll actually be invited this fucking time.”

Seger snorts. “Fuck, don’t remind me. Next, we’ll have to plant a hedge maze in the backyard just to play hide and seek,” Seger grumbles, moving his hand to the crotch of his jeans and adjusting himself.

Huh—not a bad idea. I’d love to weave through a hedge maze again, especially since the one at East Point was taken out, and the whole campus was shut down. I sneak a peek at the boys as they face-off, getting nose to nose, arguing about sex swings and soundproof rooms. Old habits die hard, I guess. Carter would never admit he loves the guys as much as he loves me, so he fights them—a lot. But it’s something you get used to living with four dudes in such tight quarters. As soon as the others venture out and attend classes, and Carter goes back to work, it’ll get better.

I know our love isn’t perfect or conventional. We’ll fight, scream, and yell. Someone will slam doors in each other’s faces. One will need to take a walk to cool down, and the other will need to punch to heal their pain. We’re five separate souls merging into one. If it weren’t hard, then it wouldn’t be love. The best things in life are the things you fight for, and we aren’t done fighting for each other. This will be a struggle, but I’m not willing to let any of them walk away from this.

“We’re in this together,” I whisper, taking a step closer toward the surprise they’ve gotten too distracted from arguing to show me. My eyes widen as I step into the bathroom, if you could even call it that. It’s not a bathroom; it’s a friggin’ spa getaway. “My God.”

“Yeah, we kinda hoped you’d be saying that. Or maybe later?” Seger wiggles his eyebrows, wraps his arm around my shoulders, and ushers me into the lavish bathroom straight out of a magazine.

“I guess our night in the hotel hot tub had a lasting impression on you guys.” Three large glass walls hang from floor to ceiling around the oversized tub fit for ten people. And I do mean, ten people. It takes up half the large room with its opulence. A stand up shower with beautiful white stone tiles and a large basin sits off in the other corner. Looking like it too could hold ten people or more. And hell–I gape at the amount of sprayers attached to the wall, and the waterfall shower head hanging from the ceiling. My jaw hangs open as my eyes explore the room, taking it all in while they surround me. “It’s so gorgeous.” My voice hiccups as I hold the happy tears at bay, refusing to let them see my cry again.

“It’s a bathroom built for our queen,” Zepp whispers directly into my ear.

“This was our last masterpiece,” Carter says, taking the space in with a keen eye.

“You guys designed this?” I ask, turning toward my four nodding boys.

“Of course, Angel. Like you said, that hot tub left a long and hard impression on us. How about you?” Seger winks, sliding open the glass to the hot tub. “Wanna take a dip?” He asks, filling the tub with water.

I grin as Seger rips off his shirt, tossing it to the floor with a cocky grin. They have me right where they want me, but you won’t hear me complain. My eyes eat up his tattoos and muscles. Before moving here, he and Chase started football practice with their new college team. Working out and hitting the field hard have consumed their daily lives. But that’s what they’re here for—their scholarships.

Zepp’s injury from the shooting kept him from playing football for the school. Instead, his father paid for his education, and I’m glad for it. It brought him here with us, too, along with Carter. He made good on his promise of following me wherever I went. Most of his work will be done in his office, but he will have to go to the headquarters in East Point from time to time.

Before I can answer, Chase picks me up, fully clothed, and heads towards the water. I screech, beating his muscular back, but nothing makes him stop. His body vibrates with laughter as we jump into the filled-up tub. I slap his chest, laughing as the others join us in their boxers. They sure get undressed fast.

“Wait till you see our room!” Chase says with a sparkle in his eye.

“Will I like it?” I ask, snuggling into him and the warmth of the tub. Carter jump-starts the jets, covering us in white bubbles.

“Will I like it? She asks,” Zepp sniggers, spreading his arms out on the tub's edge, and closes his eyes. He sighs into the heat of our new tub, and I smile, looking around. It’s insane to think this is a part of my new home.

Carter reaches over the edge, pulling a large bottle of champagne out of somewhere. Where the heck did that come from? The popping cork echoes through the bathroom, champagne bubbles fizzing over his fingers.

Holding the fizzing bottle into the air, Carter lets an actual grin slide across his face. I’ll never get over seeing his happiness so up close and personal, and I’m thankful he’s finally let go. Sure, he’s still a grump-bear, but he’s my grump-bear, and he’s finally happy.

“I’ve never had a fucking family like this before,” he says, looking between all of us. Sincerity rings true in his eyes, the years of hell sliding off his face, giving Carter back his youthful and carefree appearance. “But you fuckheads, and my Sweetheart, this is to you. To our new beginning as a family.” He takes a deep breath and chugs a mouthful. “I love you, assholes.”

Chase grins. “Shit, yes! I knew this day would come. I knew you loved us, you grumpy ass!” He proclaims, throwing me to the side in favor of throwing his arms around Carter, who doesn’t protest. I squeak, landing in Seger’s awaiting arms, and glare at Chase.

Chase jumps onto a grumbling Carter, squeezing him into the biggest hug I’ve ever seen. And much to my surprise, Carter pats Chase’s back with a heavy thud, letting him work it out of his system.

“Fucking puppy dog,” Carter mumbles, peeling Chase off of him inch by inch, and sets him beside him.
