Chase: Shit, dude! I can’t believe it!

Zepp: You seriously…. Did you pass out?...

Chase: Oh my god, he passed out. He fucking passed out!

Chase: Dude… that’s… hilarious! I’m showing Ainsley. HA.

Zepp: Bro, you, okay?

Chase: Ainsley says you’re an idiot HAAAH

Zepp: Seg? Seriously….

Me: He’s fine… currently beating the shit out of Carter.

Chase: Be extra good to him now, Sunshine.

I shake my head as they continue their conversation and bring myself back to the boys, punching each other so hard that the damn car is rocking with their movements. And it’s not the whole…if the car is rocking, don’t come a-knocking type of situation I want to be in. Seger grunts from the pain of Carter's fists honing in on the bruises still darkening Seger's chest and abdomen. For shit's sake, If they aren't careful, Seger is going to be in more pain. Time to call off the hounds and get some much needed food.

“Come on, you raging lunatics, let’s go eat. And no dessert for you, Grumpy,” I shout, trying to get between their massive bodies and pull them apart. Which is harder than you’d think, especially with a broken arm.

“What?” Carter hisses at me, whipping his head toward me with an angry glare.

The moment it registers I threaten to take away his dessert, his face twists into a pained expression.

Seger, panting and sweaty, lands in the passenger’s seat and winces when he covers his dick and groans. “Shouldn’t have done that,” Seger whines. “I might pass out again. Fuck,” he murmurs, closing his eyes.

“Food, now,” I groan, getting out of the backseat and heading toward the restaurant with or without them.

“But, Sweetheart, I need your dessert,” Carter whines, wrapping his arm around my waist. He stops us in the middle of the dark parking lot, murmuring dirty things into my ear. I shiver when Seger walks up to us, a different shade of green from before.

“I fucked up,” he heaves, wrapping his arms around his stomach. “I fucked up so hard. My dick is going to fall off.”

Carter snorts and slaps him on the back. “Cheer up, West. Just think, in a week, you won’t even notice it. And no comment on your dick,” Carter says with a grin, pulling me towards the restaurant. “Now, stop your bitching, and let’s fucking eat.”

Seger huffs, stands straight, mutters under his breath, and stops dead when his phone rings.

“I swear to fuck, Grumpy! If you sent this to anyone else….” Seger frowns when he answers the phone, and then his expression blanks. “Uh, yeah. No, we’ll be there,” he grinds out, running a hand down his face.

“What is it?” I ask, taking a step away from Carter.

Seger swallows hard. “I gotta get back. My fucking dad wandered off, and the nurse we hired to stay with him, can’t find him.” He blows out a breath, and we pile back into the SUV, taking him straight to Zepp.

Our headlights beam off Zepp resting against Seger’s Porsche with worry pulling down his brow. Thank God they still have Seger's car to get them around town and back home or we’d have to drive them everywhere. And by we, I mean Chase or Carter. Because my parents still won’t give me back my car after those idiots keyed and totaled mine.

“Any word yet?” I ask when we step out of the car.

Zepp immediately shakes his head and sighs. “Nothing, but she’s still looking. We should get going,” he says with massive amounts of worry tinging his voice.

“Shit,” Seger gripes, putting a hand over his dick with a grimace. “Now, I have to ride in the car again and then traipse through the fucking woods, when all I want to do is ice my dick.”

“Ice your junk after we find dad,” Zepp’s lips roll together when Seger tosses him the keys.

“Yeah, yeah. Let’s go find the old man so we can get back,” Seger gripes before turning to me. “We’ll be back after a while, Angel,” he murmurs, stepping close and kissing my cheek. “Be a good girl.”

Running my fingers through his hair relaxes his entire body against mine, and I nod. “I’m always good. Now, go find your dad, I bet he’s so confused. But please be safe, especially—” I swallow hard, my eyes misting with the thoughts of the accident on the same road they're about to travel.

I don't know how they're so okay with getting into vehicles, and I'm such a mess every time I step foot into one. Worry gnaws at my insides when he steps away with a knowing look glinting in his eye.
