After climbing the steps to Lennon’s apartment complex, I knocked on her door and smiled when she opened it almost immediately. “Did you check the peephole first?”

Lennon was coming with me to The Thirsty Turtle for the night. She was a regular there, and danced every other weekend, but I was being selfish and was ecstatic to have her to myself even if just for a few hours. The other Little girls and theirDaddies would be there, but Lennon was riding with me and I hoped to be close to her all night. She and I had texted back and forth all week between her two jobs and I was pleased to see her mood lifting. I didn’t love how busy she was, but I did appreciate how hard she worked at making time for us to talk.

She flushed, but nodded. “Yes, Ma’am.”

“Good girl,” I said, taking her jacket and small backpack from her arms. After helping her slide into the jacket, I said, “You look adorable.”

She was wearing a soft pair of pajamas with pink race cars on them. Her feet were stuffed down inside pink fuzzy bedroom slippers and her hair was in two space buns topped with pink bows.

“Thank you, these are my favorite jammies. You look very nice too. I like your Daddy sweatshirt.”

Fuck me, she was precious.

“Are you excited for tonight?” I asked, following her down the stairs, through the parking lot, and into my car.

“Yeah! I’m glad we’re doing crafts instead of a movie,” she answered as I started the car. It had been hard not to help her buckle her seatbelt or help her down the stairs.

“Do you like to craft?”

“I do, but I don’t like movie night. We always watch a princess movie and not all of us get represented. Is frustrating.”

“You feel like not all of the Littles and Middles are represented?”

“No, ‘cause we just keep watching Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Tangled, and Snow White. I love princess movies, but we needa switch it up sometimes so everyone feels included,” she said, very firmly.

It was hard not to smile at her passion over the topic at hand, but I would admit she was right. I vowed to talk to Maddox, Travis, and Reagan, the owners of the Thirsty Turtle, about itbefore the night was over. “I am appreciative of how big your heart is, sweet girl. It’s very sweet of you to want to include everyone.”

She flushed and squirmed in her seat. “Sometimes we don’t know that people just need some kindness until it’s too late. I don’t want that to be the case with those around me.”

“You sound like you have some experience with that, Little one?” ”

She nodded. “Thank you for inviting me tonight. I’m excited to see everyone. I usually just play with Eloise.”

I accepted her wanting to change the conversation even though I wanted to know more. “I know. She said you always make sure her Barbie dolls have a ride to and from their beach house.”

She nodded adorably. “It’s a big job.”

Chuckling, I reached over and patted her leg. “It’s a very big job and I think you’re the right person. Did you bring any cars tonight?”

“In my backpack. I brought the special green Corvette that Eloise likes for her and my favorite one for me. Is pink and is a Mustang. Then I brought ones for Rogue, Allyson, and Ashley too.”

“Oh, that was so sweet of you to share your cars. Do you have more at home?”

“Yas. I have three hundred and seven.”

“Three hundred and seven? That’s a lot of cars for a Little one.”

“I love them all,” she said seriously.

“Oh, I bet. I bet you take such good care of them too.”

“Yas. I don’t even lose them either,” she said, shaking her head. “They would be so super sad without me.”

“You’re so responsible with them,” I praised, pulling into the parking lot.

“Stay there until I open your door, okay?” I waited until she verbally responded before walking over and helping her out of the car. My command hadn’t been because I was in Daddy mode. It was because sometimes cars whipped in the parking lot too fast and I didn’t want her to get hurt if one pulled in haphazardly.
