“No, he’s not very nice. I’ll just go get a new one. My address was incorrect on that one anyway. That’s the only reason I didn’t panic about it. It’s not like he could find me or anything,” I told her, thankful she wasn’t angry with me. The whole situation was kinda messy.
“He doesn’t know whatnot very niceis, honey. Don’t worry about him anymore. I’ll handle it tomorrow. Let’s focus on having fun tonight.”
Her soft words soothed some of the tattered edges of my heart, but still I hesitated
Kay helped me stand and then, in a very daddylike way, straightened my pajamas. “Let’s go have some fun, yeah?”
I nodded and took her hand, leading her to the playroom. She laughed, loud and unbothered, and let me lead her though the building.
I grinned, liking that she was letting me pull her along her even though she knew where to go.
“Well, there are two very happy ladies,” Bash said, when we entered the room. He was signing himself and Allyson in for a headcount. He was right. I’d been much happier since Kay and I had started talking. My depression had started to lift.
I stepped in line, still holding Kay’s hand and wrote our names after Bash and Allyson’s.
“I’m da boss,” I told Bash, nodding seriously.
“Oh, you’re in charge tonight?”
“Yas-huh.”
“Wow. Are you sure? That’s a big job for a Little girl,” he teased.
“I’m not Little. I’m a growned-up.”
“Oh, how old are you?” He was going along with my lies, but his big grin told me he knew I was full of shit.
“I’m firty-nine,” I lied, making Kay snort.
“I’mare firty-nine!”I scolded her.
A laugh burst out of her mouth, loud and carefree. It cut though any yucky feelings I was having. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a small squeeze. “You are a breath of fresh air, honey.”

“You have glitter everywhere!” Kay laughed as she tried to clean my hands with a wipe.
“Sparkles is very ‘portant.” I yawned.
“I think some Little girls are very tired,” Leland said. He was cleaning Rogue up too. She wasn’t nearly as sparkly as me, but she looked just as exhausted as I felt. I’d worked late the night before at the club, and helped that morning with renovations at Rolling in Dough. Every other Friday and Saturday were the only days I had off for the month. Only having four days off a month was starting to wear on me, but I still owed several thousands in medical debt.
“Let’s try and wash your hands in the bathroom, honey. I think we need all the help we can get.”
I let Kay guide me into the restroom and run my hands under the running water.
“You look like a disco ball, Little girl.”
I yawned before I could reply and she looked concerned. “You really are tired, honey.”
“I’m sorry. I worked late last night and then early this morning. I’m having so much fun with you, though,” I rushed to explain, not wanting her to think I was bored.
“I thought Rolling in Dough was closed for repairs?” she asked as I allowed her to dry my hands with a paper towel.
“It is, but I was working my other job.”
She raised her eyebrow at me. “Otherjob?”
My tummy flipped and not surprisingly my pussy clenched at her firm tone. “Yes, Ma’am.”
