“At least give me credit for not just peeing on you.” I smirked. “I went the romantic route.”

When he laughed, it made my chest squeeze.

“It’s weird that after butting heads so much, you’d suddenly be this into me.” He grabbed the cream from the fridge and added some to his coffee. Then he looked up, his eyes wary. “It makes me question if whatever you’re feeling can possibly be real.”

 “It’s real. It’s confusing too.”

“I’d have to agree. I’m really confused also.” He nodded.

“Maybe this is how all great relationships begin.”

“With massive confusion?” He quirked one brow. “I doubt that.”

“Sure, but how many great relationships have you ever been in?”

 “None.”

 I grinned. “Hey, same here.”

He sipped his coffee, and when he set it down, his hands shook. “I have something to tell you, but I can’t decide if I should or not.”

 “Is it something bad?”

He tilted his head. “Depends on your point of view.”

“Do Colin and Riley think you should tell me?”

He smirked. “Of course. They think you’re amazing. I’m surprised they haven’t formed a fan club for you yet.”

“Does it bug you they like me?”

“A little. I’d prefer they were just on my side.”

I laughed. “At least you’re honest.”

He hesitated, and then he said softly, “I like my independence.” He swallowed. “You should know that.”

 “That’s not exactly surprising.”

“What I’m about to tell you might make you think I want to depend on you for everything. That’s not the case.”

“Okay.” I frowned, intrigued as to what his little secret could be.

“You’re also going to think I’m nuts. But I’m not. Colin can vouch for me.”

“Colin?” I squinted. “He’s involved in this?”

 “He’s like me.”

“You mean an omega?” His thought process bounced around so much I had trouble following what his point was.

He swallowed and leaned on the counter, as if needing its support. “We’re a different kind of omega. A special kind.”

 “Special how?”

His face twitched nervously, giving me a sense of unease. “We’re both solar eclipse omegas.”

“A solar eclipse omega?” I frowned. “What’s that?”
