“I’m gonna come,” I whimpered.
He sped up his fingers, watching me. “You’re so fucking sexy.”
I was embarrassed at how intent his gaze was, but I was too far gone to stop now. My dick ached to be touched, so I took hold of both of our cocks and began to stroke them.
“Yeah. Just like that.” He moved his hips even faster, and he parted his lips, eyes glittering with lust.
“Oh, god.” My climax slammed into me, and I cried out, body jerking. The pleasure was so intense, I was light-headed, and all I could do was hang on to him for dear life. My hole quaked on his moving fingers, and then he came too.
He groaned, and his body went rigid, his cock spilling between us. His creamy release joined mine, swirling in the azure water around our undulating hips. We kissed hungrily, our bodies trembling against each other. Gradually, my muscles relaxed, and the pleasure faded into a warm flush of contentment.
He stumbled slightly, as if his legs had almost given out, and pulled his fingers out of me. I lowered my legs, and he smoothed his hands down my back, planting a tender kiss on my mouth.
“Wow.” He laughed sheepishly.
I let out a shaky breath and swept my hair out of my eyes. “I guess I forgive you, after all.”
He grinned and let go of me. “I hope so.”
We both soaped up our bodies and rinsed off in the ocean, and then made our way toward the shore. I was wonderfully relaxed now and in a much better mood than earlier.
“You should go back first,” Jack said. “You’ve been gone longer.”
“Okay.” I zipped up my jeans and then pulled on my T-shirt.
He pulled me in for one last kiss, his mouth warm and insistent against mine. When he lifted his head, his expression was hard to read. “You’re a complication I didn’t plan for,” he said softly.
“To be honest, nothing about this game is what I expected.”
“True.” He let go of me. “Remember, don’t be too nice to me around camp. It’s best if everyone believes we dislike each other.”
I hesitated. “You’re not going to tell people about my accident, right?”
He frowned. “Of course not.”
I shrugged. “After the asthma thing, I thought I should ask.”
“I’ll be honest though, your story does make you a big threat.” He laughed gruffly. “That’s why I want Harold sitting next to me in the end, not you.”
I didn’t love hearing that, but I realized he’d already promised Harold the number two spot. If I made it to the top three, I’d still get a monetary prize, although it was far short of a million dollars.
“I’m going to head out.” I turned and made a beeline for the trees without looking back.
It was weird to be so attracted to someone I didn’t trust. Maybe that wasn’t completely accurate. I trusted Jack up to a point. However, I was positive that while he liked me and was sexually drawn to me, he was playing the game for real. He wouldn’t let his feelings for me sway him from his goal of winning the money.
I needed to remember that; when he made me feel like we were in this together, we really weren’t.
Chapter Fourteen
The next two days were spent cleaning up the camp and reinforcing the shelter. The tarp was an amazing addition, but it wouldn’t do us much good if the entire shelter collapsed.
Jack kept his distance from me, and I did the same. If anyone was watching us, like Harold, I doubted we gave him anything to be worried about. It was hard lying next to Jack each night, wanting to touch him. At bedtime, I stared at his wide shoulders and fantasized about being back in our little lean-to with him. The memory of his taste and touch stayed with me, whether I liked it or not.
By day nine of filming, the producers felt things were back in order at both camps enough to hold another challenge. My tribe made our way into the middle of the island, where the show had set up an obstacle course. I eyed the ladders and ropes warily, fully aware the show loved it when contestants were tortured during the challenges.
“Come on in, everybody,” Shep called out. He stood at the edge of the course, grinning. “It’s good to see you all survived the storm.”
The Karangalan tribe seemed to be in good spirits. I smiled when Larry gave me a friendly wave, but I was also aware that Jack didn’t look pleased. I figured that was his problem. I felt it was a good thing to have an ally on the other tribe, and I had every right to play the game the way I wanted.
