The way he pressed his face against my stomach, kissing my abdomen and whispering words of love to our baby melted me completely. My eyes heated, and the wordsI love youappeared in my brain as I watched him. It was there, fully formed, but I can’t say it out loud yet.

He groans, thrusting harder. “Feels so good. Fuck, you’re so good.”

When he comes, his muscles tense. His hips hold, and a shuddered groan ripples through his stomach and chest. It’s so sexy. I feel him pulsing, filling me.

My mouth is on his neck, and I suck and pull the skin. It makes him groan and pulse deeper inside me. When I break away with a little smack, a mark is left behind, and satisfaction warms my stomach. I’ve never done that before him. Now I’ve done it twice.

I’ve marked him. He belongs to me.

He cups the back of my head in his palm, tilting my face so he can cover my mouth with his. Our lips chase each other’s, and our tongues curl together. He’s still buried deep inside me, and we’re panting, coming down together.

“Fuck, Princess, you’re like a drug.” His arms go around my back, dragging me higher onto his bed without pulling out. “I can’t get enough.”

I exhale a satisfied sigh, resting my cheek against his chest. I couldn’t agree more, and his large hands cover my back, sliding up to my shoulders before surrounding me in the most amazing hug. I’m practically hidden, so secure in his embrace.

For a moment, we only breathe together, every part of our bodies melting, skin against skin. I’ve never been so calm, so peaceful.

My breathing returns to normal, and he leans down to kiss the top of my shoulder. I lift my chin to meet his eyes.

He blinks, sliding a piece of hair off my cheek with his thumb. “It kills me to see you cry.”

His voice is low, tingling in my belly.

“I’ve forgotten why I was crying.” Mine is soft and high in comparison.

A smile lifts his cheeks as he huffs a laugh. “Peepee had to go home?”

“Oh, right.” I nod, wrinkling my nose.

“I’ll get you another dog. Say the word, and it’s done.”

“I think we should have a baby instead.”

Another deep chuckle thrills my insides, and he blinks slowly. “If you say so.”

Rolling me onto my back, he kisses the top of my shoulder before standing, placing a hand on my hip and telling me not to move. My knees fall together, and I melt a little more at the sight of his perfectly toned ass flexing as he walks across the room to the door.

He peeks out, making sure the coast is clear before going to the bathroom quickly. When he returns, he’s holding a damp washcloth, which he uses to clean us up. Then he pulls back the blankets and we scoot beneath them facing each other.

We don’t speak immediately. We only gaze at each other like lovesick puppies. I put my hand on the top of his chest, and he reaches out to trace his thumb over the top of my brow.

“I told Maverick I wanted to ask you out.”

“What did he say?”

“He suggested I invite you to our charity gala next weekend. It’s to help pay for repairs at the planetarium.”

“That sounds fun. Will there be a space theme?”

“I’m not sure, but you know I love your Princess Leia outfit.”

I lean closer, whispering. “Your Han Solo costume makes me ovulate.”

“I guess I know what I’m wearing.” His eyebrow arches, and my stomach tingles.

I stretch closer, kissing his lips through a contented sigh. I’m so happy to be back in his arms, to have him smile at me, his blue eyes so full of love.

“I bet I can find something you’ll like.”
