I follow him deeper into the observatory, holding his arm so I don’t fall as I look up and all around the iconic structure.

“Check it out.” He pulls my back to his chest, wrapping his arms over mine. “The Tesla coil.”

My lips press into a smile, and I nod. “I love this place. It’s in all my favorite movies.”

“Which ones?” He steps back, sliding his hand down my wrist to hold my hand again.

He’s so playful and happy, and as we walk through the ivory-marble hallways, it’s like I’m in one of them.

“I don’t know,” I shrug. “Rebel Without a Cause,LaLa Land, The Terminator…”

“The Terminator?” he laughs, frowning.

“I’ll be back!” I lean into his chest.

We step up to the large, circular portal to watch the pendulum clock swinging below. Above us is the mural of the four winds, and I can almost hear the music playing fromLaLa Land. It’s like a magical dream.

“Mav told me your mom is kind-of an old movie buff?”

“Kind of?” My voice rises, and I laugh. “It’s her passion.”

He walks around the viewing station to pull me closer to his chest. “I’d like to kiss you right now, Princess.”

“I’ll allow it.” I smile, tilting my chin higher.

He presses his warm lips to mine, and I exhale a hum, leaning into him. We don’t go full-on make out mode, since we’re surrounded by gala attendees.

“I feel like we could waltz into the stars right now,” I blink up at him, so happy.

“Is that from a movie?” He looks down at me, his blue eyes so full of emotion.

I nod, and I feel it again, only this time it’s stronger. My eyes widen, and I grab his wrist in my hand. “Come with me!”

His brow furrows, but he follows me as I dash from door to door, finally finding one that will open to the balcony surrounding the upper floor. We have the space to ourselves, and I spin to face him.

“Give me your hand.” I grab his wrist, pressing his palm flat against the thin fabric of my dress over my stomach.

We’re both breathing fast, and we wait, only the sound of our pants filling the space.

His eyes are wide when they meet mine. “Is it happening?”

When I hear the excitement in his tone, I nod. Of course, he knows it’s time. “It happened at the house, when I saw you in this outfit.”

“Han Solo works every time.”

He exhales a low chuckle, and the vibration lights every nerve ending in my body. It also activates our baby, who gives my stomach a direct kick.

“Oh my gosh!” I gasp at the exact same time he hisses, “Oh, shit!”

Large hands cup my cheeks, and he pulls my face to his, kissing me so hard, it makes me cry. Tears I can’t stop fall onto my cheeks, and he presses his forehead to mine.

“You are so fucking amazing, Princess.”

My hands are on his wrists, and he has no idea.

“It’s all because of you.”
