Jamie rose and stalked over to him, caging Benji between his arms as he rested his hands on the counter behind him. “I want to spend time with you, too.”

Benji bit his lip to withhold his smile. Reaching up, Jamie cupped Benji’s chin and thumbed at the bottom lip, releasing it from its confines and soothing it. Benji leaned his head forward, taking Jamie’s thumb in his mouth and sucking, watching as Jamie’s eyes narrowed.

“You are insatiable.” Jamie’s gruff voice weakened Benji’s knees, and his eyes closed as he moaned in pleasure. “Fuck, Benji,” Jamie croaked.

Removing his digit, Jamie slid his hand to the back of Benji’s head and slammed their mouths together. Benji groaned as Jamie’s flavour burst onto his tongue: a trace of breakfast, a hint of mint and Jamie. All Jamie. Sliding his hands around Jamie’s back, he gripped at the exposed skin, not wanting to let go any time soon.

Jamie plundered his mouth, giving Benji no time to act, only react. His head fell back as Jamie stepped closer, their hardening cocks pressing together, eliciting another groan from Benji and an answering one from Jamie. Jamie slid his hands down Benji’s back and gripped his thighs, lifting him onto the counter without retreating from the kiss. Feeling lightheaded, Benji pulled away from the kiss with a gasp, sucking in air while Jamie kissed down his neck and chest to his nipples.

“Oh, god, Jamie.” Benji’s hands found Jamie’s hair and gripped tightly, holding Jamie where he wanted him. As Jamie licked and nibbled at his nubs, Benji thrust his hips against Jamie’s chest, needing friction. It wasn’t enough. “More!”

“Fuck, Benji. We need to slow down.”

Benji couldn’t understand what Jamie meant. And all meaning flew out the window as Jamie kissed back up to his lips.

“Benji?”

“Hmm?” The soft, lingering pecks mesmerising Benji as much as the hard ones. Hands cupped his cheeks, thumbs smoothing a pattern. Benji’s eyelid fluttered open to see Jamie gazing at him, passion lighting his gaze.

“We need to slow down,” Jamie repeated.

“Why?” It was more of a whining tone than an argumentative one.

Jamie chuckled. “Because this relationship is not just about sex.”

“I know. But we already know each other,” Benji countered.

“Not like this, we don’t. Let’s ease into this. Let it not be only about the physical.” Jamie placed another chaste kiss on Benji’s lips then pulled away, sliding his hands along Benji's shoulders and down his arms to clasp his hands. Lifting each one to place a kiss on his knuckles, Jamie pulled away, allowing Benji to see how much Jamie was affected by what they were doing. Or had been doing.

Benji blew out a breath, trying to bank the arousal. “Okay. What are we doing instead?” Benji pouted, his tone implying nothing Jamie came up with would be as good as what they had been doing.

Jamie smirked and pivoted away, adjusting himself. “How about a walk around the park?” Jamie glanced over his shoulder as he said it, brow creased.

Benji catalogued his body and emotions, finding himself amazingly centred. The park was at the end of their street and wasn’t a huge area, but it was green and big enough for a stroll around to take twenty minutes. “I can give it a go.” His voice wobbled a bit, but he felt stronger knowing Jamie would be with him. He jumped off the counter. “Let’s go.”

Jamie’s eyebrows rose with his exuberant statement. “Woah, slow down, speedy. Shall we get dressed first?” Jamie tilted his head.

Benji’s gaze mapped Jamie’s chest and abs, and he nodded. “Yes. Better keep it under wraps.” He indicated Jamie’s body as he pushed past towards the stairs. “I’ll have to nip home for some clothes.”

“Use mine. It’s only a short walk.” Jamie ascended the stairs behind him.

Benji smiled. “Sounds good.” He loved the idea of wearing Jamie’s clothes, as if Jamie had claimed him. Which he had.

They dressed quickly, wanting to get out there before Benji’s bravery wore off. They exited the house, hand in hand, strolling down the street as if they didn’t have a care in the world and Benji didn’t have a tight grip on Jamie’s hand.

“You doing okay?”

Benji inhaled and exhaled before answering, “Yes, surprisingly. My heart is pounding, my hands are sweaty, as you can tell, my knees are knocking, but, yes, I’m feeling alright.”

Jamie squeezed Benji’s hand. “Good.”

They meandered to the park, watching the children playing on the swings and slide as they trailed the perimeter.

“Are you okay keeping things quiet until next week?” Jamie asked.

“Yes. I think you’re right. If we tell our parents now, they won’t leave us alone. At least this gives us a week of peace until we are bombarded.” Benji halted, becoming distracted by the light reflecting off a window, creating a rainbow effect. His gaze roamed the pattern, trying to memorise what he saw for a later date. After several minutes, he came back to himself, realising they were stood in the middle of the path. “Sorry.” Benji, grimacing, glanced at Jamie.

Jamie lifted a hand to Benji’s face, smoothing a finger across the creases on Benji’s forehead. “Don’t be sorry. You see something beautiful in everything around you. It’s…” Jamie cocked his head.
