They were butt plugs.Clench. New kink unlocked.

I thought I’d seen everything.

I thought I knew what turned me on.

I was wrong.

Of course I knew who these men were. They weren’t men at all. They were fucking demons who had been running around unchecked for far too long. Witches and mages were out in the open, coexisting mostly peacefully with humans. Demons were—from what I’d been taught at the academy—a dark secret. Neither the civilians in the magical nor human community knew of their existence, and for the most part, the demons stayed in their own realm: Besmet.

But every so often, demons would slip through the portals, either by choice, or in the case of these five, banishment. They had no right to be here. Killing, maiming, breaking the laws that had been carefully crafted to keep peace between supes and humans… They needed to be neutralized.

I was here for a mission. I’d trained for years and researched for months.

I would do whatever I needed to in order to complete my goal. I’d let these demons into my life and into my bed if that’s what it took. I’d expose them for what they were.

And then… Well, then I was prepared to kill them.

Chapter two

Thecrowdwasroaring, stifling the sound of the music, though I could feel the bass thumping beneath the thick soles of my boots. Tension in the leash had me slowing my pace. I’d already forgotten about the big beefy man at the end of it. Looking back at the poor guy, I spotted the fire in his eyes beneath his puppy mask, and suddenly, I was interested again.

This prime piece of Grade A fuckboy human flesh owed me some serious money. Not that I really gave a shit about money; I could always get more of that. What you couldn’t get more of was gods damn respect. Any fucker could earn or steal some green, but respect and fear? That was the shit that got my cock hard and my balls aching. Unfortunately for all involved, there was nothing about this particular asshole that got me hard.

I got off on questionable shit, but I wasn’t a fucking monster. I’d offered Jack a deal. I’d wipe his debt clean if he agreed to crawl around wearing my collar, on my fucking leash, all night. It was too good for him to pass up, even if the son of a bitch had gritted his teeth hard enough to crack a molar as he agreed. Pride. I fucking loved seeing these supposedly proud men—who were greedy little fucks—degraded to nothing more than my pups.

Jack couldn’t see my face, which was effectively hidden behind my black, mesh mask with stitched eyes, but he could certainly see my hands, the way I brought them up my thighs and cupped my junk, eliciting more screams from the crowd. I brought my arms out wide, riling my people even higher. It was all for them, and we were just getting started. I wanted them drunk on the fucking air. Neon lasers flashed through the club, illuminating glimpses of masks and bodies. It was fucking electric.

My gaze lifted to the balcony I’d just free fallen from, and sure enough, a pair of glittering bunny ears were looking right back down at me. Gods, the bouncers knew us too well.I bet she has a fluffy little tail…

It had been so long since I’d been in a good hunt. Back in Besmet, the five of us used to tear up the woods, hunting all types of prey. Port Black was a city in the human realm though, and since our race was a secret, it wasn’t like we could let our demons out of the bag and terrorize woodland creatures to satisfy our primal urges.

We’d been banished from our home years ago for being a part of the resistance, a group of demons throughout the realm who opposed the tyrannical rule of the monarchy. It wasn’t like we were always on that side of things, but some things were just impossible to ignore. Or forgive. Or forget.

“Ash!” one of my boys called out, bringing me back to the pulsing atmosphere of the club. It was probably Talon. Misha never talked. Rhodes wasn’t a yeller—at least not in public—and Felix was probably doing inappropriate… or extremely appropriate things to his kittens.

“Let’s go, pup,” I ordered Jack, tugging on his leash. My eyes widened when the stubborn shit resisted. The people dancing around us froze, immediately recognizing the disobedience. Sighing, I reached up and grabbed the top of my mask, removing it with a harsh tug.

The music died a faster death than a vampire at dawn. My boys were at my back instantly. I didn’t need to look; I could sense them there. That’s how it had been for so long, and it was second nature.

I stepped forward, still holding the leash. “Jacky, Jacky, Jacky,” I said sadly, shaking my head. “I thought we had a deal? Your debt of half a million dollars gone forever, for one night of your submission as a puppy.”

My piss-poor excuse of a pup was shaking with rage. Or fear. Who knew?

“Why is he still down there if he’s not playing?” Talon questioned, removing his gas mask.

Misha stomped forward, not bothering to take off his pig mask before he bent down and lifted all two hundred and thirty pounds of Jack to his feet by his collar. He slipped his fingers into the harness around Jack’s waist, and before anyone could move, the collar, puppy mask, and tail had all been cut.

“I–I’ll get the money,” Jack stammered, sweat running down his face.

Felix’s dark eyes met mine, his deep laugh filling the quiet club. “I don’t fuckin’ believe this guy, do you, Ash? You think he’s gonna pay, Rhodes?”

Rhodes glanced at Jack, looking disgusted. He couldn’t stand people who were messy, untrustworthy, or scumbags in general. “I highly doubt it… and he smells like an old Cheeto.”

Talon’s eyes widened. “But like, flamin’ hot or regular?”

“Gentlemen,” I interrupted. “Even though this is a valid question—and one I feel we should revisit later—we’re in the middle of a party here. So, let’s get back to it, shall we?” Misha looked at me, and we moved at the same moment. My blade sank into the left side of Jack’s neck, and Misha’s sank into the right.

“The Exiled do not abide thieves, cheats, or liars! This man was given a fair opportunity to clear his debt, and he chose to spit in our faces. Let’s get back to the party—the night is young and so are we!” Felix shouted as Jack collapsed to the floor. Our minions were already rushing in to drag his body off. Good fucking riddance. I had no place for trash in my city.
