“Well, I tried. Aurora packed your bag while you were in the shower, and she and Ev will be here in about an hour or so,” he says, surprising me yet again.
“They’re coming too?!” I ask excitedly.
“Yeah babe, they just stopped in town to grab some food for the weekend,” he says.
“We’re spending the entire weekend? Damn, if I had known, I would have grabbed my laptop. I have an edit due by tomorrow night,” I say.
“It’s in the bag, Em. I’ve got you covered,” he says with a smirk. God, I love this man more than words can express.
“You really are incredible, ya know?” I say, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing his cheek.
“Oh, I know. You’re really very lucky,” he says, throwing me a sexy wink. I try to pull away, but he holds me tighter, kissing me deeper. He drops the bags and slides his hands up the columns of my neck. He tilts my head back, sliding his tongue into my mouth, and I moan softly. The entire world disappears when he kisses me this way.
“God damn, I'm glad I packed my vibrator,” Kelsea says, pulling me out of the lustful daze I live in every time Elijah is near. He laughs against my lips and I feel my body heat with embarrassment.
“I think I’m really gonna like you, Kelsea,” Eli says, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and leading the way to the door.
