He pulled over and wound the window down.
“You going my way?” he asked.
Danny grinned. “I really hope so.”
“Get in.”
Tyler popped open the door. Danny got in. The car instantlyfilled with the scent of his aftershave. God, he always smelt so masculine. Tyler wanted to rip his clothes off then and there.
“I could have picked you up from your house, you know.”
Danny kissed him. A long, languid kiss that Tyler had been craving since Tuesday.
“You don’t need the inquisition from my family,” Danny said. “I want you all to myself today.”
Tyler put the car in gear and sped off towards the motorway.
He’s been talking to his family about me.
“Have you been to Blackdown Hill before?” Tyler asked.
After Danny had accepted his offer of a day out, Tyler had scrolled until his eyes went fuzzy to find the perfect picnic spot.
“I think we went with school once. What made you pick it?”
“I thought it might be nice to be up high for once. Down south is very low down.”
Danny laughed. “I never thought about it like that.”
“Have you ever been to Wales?”
“Never.”
Tyler didn’t go home all that often. Still, he could go to Wales without seeing his family.
“Maybe one day, I’ll show you,” he said.
“Camping?”
“No thank you. A guest house will be just fine.”
Danny laughed.
Tyler glanced across. It all came so easily when they were together.
Danny caught his eye and placed his hand on Tyler’s thigh. “Good week?”
“Quiet,” Tyler replied.
“Living with Scott? I doubt that very much.”
“How about you? Busy?”
Danny sighed. “I’ve neglected you. Haven’t I?”
“Not at all. You don’t owe me anything. It’s cool.”
They drove for a second.
