This new guy was gorgeous. Danny couldn’t take his eyes off him. He stuck out like a sore thumb in his formal suit and swept-back light brown hair.

At first, Danny had wondered how the hell this startled innocent had found himself in their midst. Then he’d made the joke about Barry and all bets were off.

Although he wouldn’t forgive him for putting the vision of Barry and a prostate massager into his head. Danny shuddered once more.

“Right, what flavours have we got, then?” Danny asked, rubbing his hands together.

Tyler slid the scorecard over. “We have cherry coke, grapefruit, espresso martini, pina colada, sex on the beach and mango.”

Danny caught Tyler’s eye. Each time they did that, something passed between them. It had been a while since anyone had had such a strong effect on Danny. He liked it and feared it at the same time.

Nice.

“Sounds like a summer of fun to me,” Danny said.

Tyler laughed. “Imagine getting your case searched with the whole selection in.”

“A shit ton of lube and some Speedos?”

Tyler reddened a little around the neck.

He should probably go easy. This poor guy had only just started after all. Besides, their paths would cross again. Very soon. Perhaps being the top of the volunteering list had paid off for once.

Tyler took hold of the first vial and popped the top off. He handed it to Danny, who shook his head.

“I prefer to go last,” he said.

“Is that right?” Tyler replied, a smirk on his face. “How noble.”

Why did everything coming out of their mouths sound like innuendo? Still, this guy could play as well as Danny. Another plus point for this handsome stranger.

Tyler sniffed. “That’s definitely cherry coke. I like it.”

He handed it to Danny, who also took a whiff. It was remarkably like the drink.

“Is it sexy?” Danny asked. “If I went to a guy’s house and he had this one, I’d think immature.”

Tyler’s face changed when Danny mentioned a guy. He’d done it on purpose to gauge the reaction. It didn’t disappoint.

“We already have cherry lube,” Tyler replied, averting his eyes. “It’s one of the biggest sellers. I’m not sure there’s room in the market for something so similar.”

Danny raised an eyebrow. It might be this guy’s first day but he had clearly done his homework. Danny was impressed.

“Good thinking. How about we give it a three? We can always change it if the others smell like rotten fish.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

Tyler made a note of their score and selected the next vial. Their flirtation had dropped now. Danny glanced around at the other tables. Everyone else seemed to be taking it seriously too. Even Scott from HR who usually drove everyone mad cracking jokes like it was for money had shut up.

“What’s this one?”

“Espresso Martini,” Tyler said, fiddling with the lid. “Fuck’s sake.”

“Here,” Danny said, taking the container from him.

He flipped the lid with his thumb and held the vial for Tyler to take a sniff.

“That’s really nice,” Tyler said, his eyes lighting up.
