She giggled. He knew he was in there. Any woman he could make laugh was a woman he could make his. That was his philosophy anyway.

“Fine,” she said, accepting his offer. “That’s a deal.” She put her hand in his, and he fought the urge to kiss it. Something told him he needed to take his time with her, and he had no problem doing that. Finally, she looked around at her surroundings and gasped. “This is your place?”

“It is.” He quickly got out of the car, stuffed the rest of his waffle into his mouth, and ran around the vehicle. He opened her door before she could. Her hand was on the handle as if she was about to. “Kinda niggas you been around?” He thought about what he said and remembered her ex back at the party. “Never mind. You don’t open doors in my presence. Got that?”

“Okay, my bad, Nightmare.”

His dick twitched, but he played it off as he looked behind him. “Who? That ain’t what I said to call me.”

She chuckled. “In your dreams.”

She sashayed past him with her food in her hands. He bit his bottom lip as he closed the door and followed behind her. Henever took his eyes off her ass. Even when he unlocked his front door, he managed to keep his eyes back there.

When they stepped inside, he could tell she was impressed. Hell, so was he. Every time he walked into his home, he couldn’t believe it was his. His younger self would call this a mansion, and it really was. Five bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, high ceilings, tons of floor-to-ceiling windows, and all the newest appliances. He lived like a king, and so did Tyree. His mother also lived like royalty. He made sure to upgrade their homes and keep them laced with the finest things as well. Life was most definitely good.

“Welcome to my home.” He bowed dramatically.

She rolled her eyes at his antics. “It’s really nice.”

“’Preciate that.”

He gave her a quick tour before he took her to the second floor. He opened one of the guest rooms, the one closest to his room, and allowed her to walk through. She looked around with wide eyes. “This is so nice. Way better than Isla’s couch.”

He had the urge to tell her she could stay as long as she wanted, but he refrained. Slow and easy.

“You want to eat your food in here or go back to the kitchen?” he asked instead.

She sighed as she sat on the queen-sized bed. “In here, I think. I’m exhausted and just want to shower and get some rest.”

He figured she would say that. He was pretty good at reading people. “Bet. I’ll bring you a T-shirt you can wear to bed. I’m right next door if you need anything.”

“Thank you, Nico.”

He nodded and offered her a smile. “The pleasure’s all mine, sweetheart.”

He left the door open so he could grab her a shirt. He smiled the entire time. He was about to have fun getting to know little miss Remedie.

The smell of food woke him out of his dead sleep. Nico was disoriented as he tried to figure out where the smell came from. He always slept really hard after a fight, but as the remnants of sleep fell away from his mind, he immediately remembered Remedie.

He sprang out of bed at the thought of her and grabbed his phone from the nightstand. It was already ten in the morning. He quickly made his way into his bathroom and handled his hygiene. He needed to smell irresistible to Remedie at all times. He wanted her badly, and every woman loved a man who smelled good.

By the time he was dressed, his stomach growled, leading him straight toward the kitchen and toward his future woman.

He stood back and watched as she plated the food that smelled heavenly. All she wore was his T-shirt he’d given her the night before to sleep in, and his dick fought to get loose from the gray joggers he wore. The way her petite frame drowned in the shirt but still displayed her perky titties and thick thighs turned him on in the worst ways.

“Good morning,” he finally said in his deep morning voice.

She jumped slightly, and her eyes met his. She blushed before she spoke. “Good morning. You’re just in time. Breakfast is ready.” He moved further into the kitchen and sat down in front of the plate she’d placed on the counter. “You weren’t lying when you said you had nothing in your kitchen. I really had to scrape something together. I promise I can do better than this. Ijust need to go grocery shopping. I made protein pancakes with souffle eggs and turkey bacon.”

It sounded healthy, which wasn’t what he wanted straight after a fight, but it smelled good as hell. He looked at her and realized she was still rambling, and he noticed that must be something she did when she was nervous.

Reaching a hand over to cover hers, he said, “It looks good as hell.”

She smiled in relief. “I hope you like it.”

He took a bite of the pancakes first, and his eyes widened. He didn’t think protein pancakes could taste so good. These would be perfect for his training diet. Next were the eggs, and he thought he’d died and gone to heaven. He’d never been a big egg person, but he ate them because he knew they were good for his protein intake. These made him want them every damn day. Last was the turkey bacon that was cooked to perfection. Though he preferred pork bacon, this would do for now.

He glanced up at her. “You willing to move in here?”
