Trixie rocked her newborn daughter, Maya. “We’re going to get any sleep forever, huh?”
Grant nodded. “Better invest in one of those coffee stocks now.”
After a whirlwind romance followed by one of the fastest engagements in high society history, Trixie and Grant married on a Kauai beach with only their families and close friends in attendance. When they returned from their honeymoon, Grant’s parents hosted a lavish soiree at their estate honoring the newlyweds.
Trixie returned as a graphic designer with her own successful Etsy shop. Grant continued his wealth management firm and returned to the Board of Directors of his family’s company. Nathan was relieved of his duties as CEO.
Trixie moved into Grant’s home and he promptly placed her on the deed. They weren’t married for very long when Trixie discovered she was pregnant – with twins.
Sylvia relished in her role as grandmother and showered the couple with so many gifts, that Trixie and Grant did not have to purchase a single baby item. She also made sure Trixie had a night nurse and two round-the-clock nannies at her disposal.
As far as Nathan and Charlotte, Nathan officially settled into his new role as PR spokesperson since both Jack and Grant felt he was great at spinning bullshit. Charlotte still navigated through social circles, though with less presence. Sylvia was right – worddidtravel fast. Charlotte moved into the luxury Mommy blogger niche on TikTok and thrived.
Now at home with their newborn twins in a nursery that was the size of an apartment, Trixie and Grant held their children in rocking chairs. “I still can’t believe this is my life,” Trixie shook her head, “all of my dreams came true.”
“You made my dreams come true and more.” Grant rocked his son. “You are all I care about. That’s it.”
Trixie managed to stand up and placed Maya in the crib. Grant soon followed and put Nicholas beside his sister. They both quietly left the nursery and went to their bedroom where they stood outside on the balcony, looking up at the stars. “Are you ready for a life full of orange slices, Capri Suns, sleepovers, and playdates?” Trixie asked.
“I’m ready for all of it,” Grant held her from behind and kissed her left earlobe, “every single bit of it. I’m ready for the chaos.”
“I also understand you won’t be as available because of the family business and your wealth management firm,” Trixie stated. “And I’m okay with that.”
Grant turned Trixie around and kissed her, sweeping his lips over hers. “Baby, I’ll take all the time off as I please when it comes to my family. I dare anyone to tell me otherwise.”
Trixie wrapped her arms around Grant’s neck. “I’m just saying it’s okay if you need to and—”
Grant kissed her again. “I said what I said. That’s that.”
Trixie smiled. “That’s that.” She felt her husband’s erection. “And you have about two more weeks to wait.”
“Oh, I know you’re not warning me considering how you were acting the other night,” he chuckled, “dry humping my back?”
“I was stretching my leg!” Trixie laughed as Grant joined her. “I need to do more stretches. It’s healthy for the recovery process.”
“Well, I can’t wait to help you recover even more in two weeks.” He promised.
The End
