“We should get packed. Giovanna will have our reservations in no time, and then she’ll say it’s time to go without any notice.” I chuckle as I head to my room.
I already talked to Felicity earlier today, so she’s not expecting me to call again until this evening. Since our flight will take about four hours, we should be in Wintervale around three or four pm. Which is perfect timing. I can surprise her at the store. Piper Vandenberg is married to Paxton and she’s a romance author. They have a signing at the store for her once a month. Today is that day. I love being able to surprise my girl.
I quickly pack enough for two weeks. If I need more, I’ll do laundry.
Giovanna: We need to leave in 30 minutes
Levi: LOL. I told Tristan you’re fast
Giovanna: I’m also excited to see our Wintervale family
Levi: Who’s coming with us?
Giovanna: You, Tristan, me, Declan, Rowan, Lorcán, Grady, Eros and Noah. My papà wants us to take a few more than normal because of what happened to Felicity. And we’ll have Armando too
Levi: Sounds good. We’ll be ready
It’s taking a lot for me not to call Felicity and tell her I’m coming. I’m so bad at keeping secrets, my sisters will be the first to tell you that.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
Felicity
It’s been five days that Levi’s been here in Wintervale with me. It’s been the best five days I’ve had in a long time. We took a day and went horse back riding at Limitless Ranch. Before my parents died, we used to ride every other weekend. While it made me a little sad, it also made me happy to have Levi in my new memories of riding.
Levi’s been staying with me in my room, that was a fight I won with my brothers. My sisters helped me with that one. And he’s been such a gentleman, but now, five fucking days later, I’m tired of him being nice. I want him to ravage me. Period. End of story. I plan to make it happen tonight. I’ve been planning my strategy all day. The hard part is today’s been super busy at the store. It seems like everyone is coming through Wintervale today. On one hand, it’s making the day go by faster. On the other, it’s not giving me time to plan my attack.
“What are we doing for dinner?” Eros asks as he munches on popcorn.
“You’ve been eating all day.” I laugh.
“I’m a growing boy. I need to eat a lot.”
“Growing wider?” Noah laughs as he walks by.
“Just cause you’re scrawny, there’s no need to be jealous.”
I burst out laughing. Eros is a big man, he’s about six foot six. But Noah isn’t tiny, he’s six foot four. But I guess to a polar bear shifter, that’s scrawny.
“Don’t encourage him.” Noah sighs.
“So I ask again, what are we doing for dinner?”
“Emma and Emiko are cooking at home,” Rhett says as he comes over to us.
We’ve been closing earlier since I came back to Wintervale. Our hours used to be from seven am to ten pm. Now it’s seven am to five pm. Most of the residents understand why. And if they need something, they know they can call and we’ll come down and open the store. Life in a small town.
We’re finally closing up and heading home. I keep watching Levi, I know he loves me, but I don’t know if he wants me like I want him. He hasn’t made any moves, and it’s confusing me.
“Are you okay?” Piper asks me quietly.
“How did you know Paxton really loved you?” I frown as I watch Levi joke around with my brothers.
“What’s going on? I thought things were good with Levi?”
“They are. But we’ve been sleeping in the same bed for five nights. And he hasn’t done anything but hold me all damn night.”
“I’d say that means he loves you. Ohhh. Wait. I know what you’re saying. Have you talked to him about it?”
