"Thanks for helping," I said. "I couldn't have managed this without you. Well, I guess I could have just hired movers.”

“No, trust me, movers would have made this a lot more difficult.” He said

“Really? How so?”

Gabriel leaned up, bicep flaring as he supported himself on his elbow. “They have a habit of breaking stuff and you end up having to help them anyway. Then you have to pay them for it. I would much rather be your mover than have you deal with that.”

"Are you offering to be my personal mover forever then?" I teased, my voice laced with humor.

His eyes flickered. "Oh yeah, absolutely. But your money is no good to me," he said. His response hung in the air for a moment.

I sat up and crossed my arms. "So, what do I owe you then, huh?"

“He scratched the stubble on his jaw. "Maybe..." He trailed off, a sly smirk playing on his lips as he glanced at the kitchen. "How about dinner?”

I laughed, shaking my head. “You want me to cook for you?”

"Well, it's not like I'm asking for a five-course meal. A sandwich would be perfect, you kind of owe me one anyway.”

I crossed my arms and gave him my best glare.

He smiled innocently, but it was clear he was unfamiliar with the expression. “Not that I'm telling my woman to go to the kitchen and make me a sandwich. I just meant something easy.”

My heart fluttered,My woman?

“Of course, of course, it is my duty after all.” I stood up and walked daintily toward the kitchen. “Oh silly me, I forgot.” I reached down and took off my socks. “I am to be barefoot in the kitchen.”

“Thats right.” He teased as he dodged my socks with a deep laugh. “You’re lucky those stink bombs didn’t hit me.”

I pressed my lips together and lifted my hand threateningly as I stormed toward him.

“Aren’t you going to ask how I want my sandwich?” he said, pretending to recoil in pain as my little fist made contact with his tree trunk of an arm.

I rolled my eyes, then held the demeanor of an oppressed housewife again. “How would you like it, dear?”

“Hmm, surprise me.”

I twirled around, padded over to the small kitchen and pulled myself up onto the counter, letting my legs dangle above the ground. I pulled out my phone and started placing an order from my favorite sandwich place. After a moment, Gabriel walked over to me with a curious smile.

“What are you doing?”

I flicked my eyes up at him, then back to my phone. “Making you a sandwich, of course.” I showed him the screen while placing the order. “There is no food here obviously, but after work tomorrow you can take me to the store and we can fill up the fridge.”

Gabriel nodded with a playful expression. "Tomorrow? So I'll be staying here tonight?"

"I never said that. You're reading into things." I retorted, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear before meeting his gaze.

He stepped forward, confidence radiating from him. “Me? Reading into things? Never.” His hands gripped my waist, and he pulled me near the edge of the counter, into him. I wrapped my legs around him and my breath hitched as he kissed me. The world faded away as his taste flooded my senses. His cologne mixed with his natural scent was a masculine force I couldn’t resist. His stubble tickled me as his slow kisses trailed lower down my neck. He was intoxicating. He pulled me tighter against him, over the edge of the counter. A soft gasp slippedfrom my lips and I threw my arms around his neck, pressing my face into his warm shoulder, kissing his neck as I became weightless in his arms. He groaned in response, tightening his grip on me.

"I don't think you know what you're doing to me, Sophia," he murmured into my hair, his voice rich with desire. I could feel his heart racing under my palm on his chest.

I leaned back enough to see his eyes. He trailed his hand down over my chest, and down to the button on my pants. Our breaths mingled. I bit my lower lip, my gaze never leaving his as I gave a slight nod. A low growl rumbled from deep within him, sending a shiver down my spine.

“You have no idea how much I want you, how badly I need you." He said, Our faces inches apart as he worked on the button of my pants with one hand.

“Yes I do, I can see it in your eyes.” I squealed as he suddenly lifted me onto his broad shoulder, fireman-style, bending me over at my hips. The world turned upside down, his strong hand shifting to support my lower back. I felt his other hand grip the back of my pants. He pulled them down along with my panties and threw them aside before slapping my ass hard. I felt a blush creep up my neck, the sudden exposure to him was as overwhelming as it was exciting. He lowered me back into his arms and I wrapped my bare legs tightly around his waist. His eyes raked over my body as I leaned back, lifting my shirt. The look in his eye made my heart race as I lifted the tight fabric up, letting my boobs drop with a perky bounce.

"Damn, Sophia…you are something else." His voice rough and low. The corners of his mouth curled into a wicked smile as I finished taking off my shirt and he set me back down on the cold counter top. I couldn't suppress a shiver as his hands ran up my thighs. His expression darkened, and he looked up at me with an intensity that made me draw in a sharp breath. He grabbedmy legs and spread them wide. I was completely exposed to him, blushing harder than ever as he slowly lowered onto his knees.
