‘Again, to new people in our lives,’ he returned with the glass, waiting for me to toast.
‘To intriguing new people,’ I spoke like there was a chance in hell I would get seduced by a man like him. ‘Bottoms up,’ I downed the full contents of the glass, expecting he would follow- which he didn’t. However, he did drink half of the champagne in the glass.
I just hoped that would be enough.
‘I want you to stay right there,’ I kept him at the edge of the bed as I lazily rolled between the bills, making sure my body remained in the sexiest pose I could think of. ‘Look at me,’ I whined, drawing all of his attention while my hips arched into the mattress and my eyes were calling out to him. ‘I want you to get hard for me, Mr. Governor,’ my purring continued, slowly grinding over the money.
‘Why don’t you talk to me like that!?’It was Brax the one who was trying to be funny this time, butfunwasn’t exactly his main quality. Besides nothing he could say or do could ever mend things between us.
‘I am,’ the governor began unbuckling his belt as my pulse was reaching pounding levels.
It wasn’t working! The sedative wasn’t having the effect, probably because he didn’t drink the whole dose.
What now? What now?The dreadful question kept spinning in my mind as the other alternative - sleeping with him, seemed impossible.
‘Are you ready?’ He asked, prepared to release himself from his underwear.
‘Not so fast. Come and have me like a real king. Take the straps off,’ I was launching an invitation, trying to buy some more time.
He didn’t reply, just got his knees on the bed and crawled on top of me, preparing for the mission that was just assigned to him.
‘Bea, what’s going on. Why isn’t he passing out?’Brax asked with a hint of panic in his voice, knowing that the effects of the sedative should have kicked in by now. ‘Get out of there!’He roared, although I couldn’t answer him; or get out of there.
‘So sexy,’ the governor made room between my hips, leaning in to kiss me. A kiss I couldn’t deny him. I just needed to force myself and pretend I enjoy it.
My eyes closed, expecting the stench of his lips on mine, as each second just dragging out the unavoidable. But as his lips approached I felt him collapsing over me.

He had passed out, thankfully before I had to welcome him on my body.
‘It worked,’ I spoke so that the guys could hear me.
‘Good job,’Ferris congratulated me. ‘Now you have to go to the safe.’
‘Can we open it?’ I asked since the task seemed impossible without chopping the governor’s hand off, and I wasn’t ready to do something like that.
‘An app like a scanner will appear on your phone in the next minute. I’m just uploading it. You need to put his hand on the screen.’
As soon as the scan thing appeared, I did just that.
‘Now go to the safe and place the scanned picture over the aces pad. I’ll configure it to work by the time you get there.’
Hedidn’t need to tell me twice. I just walked straight to the game room and pushed the sculptured wall apart to get to the safe.
‘Great job. Now put your phone over the access pad and keep it there. I need to run an extra program into tricking the system that it’s a human hand and not a device,’Ferriscontinuedinstructing me, and it seemed he had something else to tell me except what to do next, ‘Bea, there’s something you need to know.’
‘Not fucking now, Ferris,’Brax’sangered voice echoed in my ears.
‘It worked,’ I murmured, hearing the clink made by the opening door. ‘What is it?’ I asked Ferris as I was already rushing to search through the safe.
‘Nothing important, just search the safe,’ Brax was trying to cut me off.
He should have known better than that.
‘Brax, tell me what’s this all about,’ I asked him again since there was no backing out now.
