I got up and went into Milo’s office.

“Any luck?” I asked Kyle.

“No,” he said with a frown. “I found some files I think came from the computer he put the spyware on, but there’s nothing there.”

“Let me see.”

He gave up the seat, but didn’t go far.

I began looking through his files.

Then one stuck out like a damn beacon calling to me.

“Straight People Porn,” I said, and for some damn reason, I couldn’t stop the smile.

“Uhhh, yeah,” Kyle said. “I saw that like ten minutes ago, but I didn’t think it was relevant. Plus, I don’t want to know why he would have a file marked like that. If that’s his thing, fine, but I don’t want to think of Milo looking at porn at work, no matter what kind.”

I snorted.

“He doesn’t do that at work. This isn’t what it appears to be. I can almost guarantee it.”

This file had been uploaded almost twenty minutes ago. So it was new. After I saw that, I didn’t hesitate to open it.

“Whoever he was looking into took him,” I said. It started to click. How did they find him? That I wasn’t sure of. I knew Milo was very careful. “And this,” I pointed to the screen, “will lead us to him.”

I’m coming, Mi. Hold on.

“Can you find where this came from?” I asked Kyle, knowing he was better at that sort of thing.

He blinked at the screen for a long moment. Then he was pushing me out of the way.

“Fuck,” he hissed out. “I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before. Get geared up. I think I have an idea.” He sat down and looked up at me. “Maybe being on the inside wasn’t all for nothing.”

I sent him a sympathetic smile and squeezed his shoulder.

Nothing he’d done was his fault, but I had a feeling he wouldn’t hear my words. He’d come a long way in the two years he’d been free of that place. He’d also helped us bring down a lot of The Sons of the Holy Fire.

I got everyone together. We geared up, and then began collecting things to carry down to the SUVs. Cade, Austin, and Sawyer took over loading up the gear, while I waited to see what Kyle would find.

We wanted to be ready to move the moment we had a location.

I was going out of my mind. My skin felt tight and itchy. I wanted to walk, but decided it was better to rest while I could. If I pushed myself now, I’d be no good when it counted.

The minutes ticked on and on and on. Had it been ten minutes or two hours? I couldn’t tell anymore, and I was trying my hardest not to look. Not to keep track of the time that was slipping by and Milo wasn’t safe.

My phone vibrated, and I nearly ripped my pocket trying to get it out.

There were GPS coordinates sitting there for me from Kyle. I looked up, eyes cutting through the space of the office and automatically landing on his.

“Go!” he yelled at me.

I jumped, tears filling up my eyes. I pushed them back. I wouldn’t cry because there would be no need to cry. I was going to save Milo.

“Move out!” I yelled as I booked it as fast as I could to the elevator.

Boots stomped over the floor behind me.

I had my team here to have my back. I had my family.
