“And you’ve made your point. You’re done.”

I huffed out a laugh.

“Fine,” Ky grumbled, but I could see the love in his gaze as he looked at his husband. It was a long minute before he turned his attention to me. “I’m gonna fix up Wrench’s bike. See if Brand wants to get in on it too. You wanna help me? Maybe learn a few things?”

“Yes!” I answered, not even having to think about it. I was eager to learn so I could take care of mine and do anything that might come up in the future, but more than that, I wanted to do this for Chry. “Tell me when and where, and I’ll be there.”

He gave me a firm nod.

“Ready?” Chry said as he walked up and stood beside me, slinging his arm around my shoulders.

“Yep,” I answered.

We said our goodbyes.

Ingram hugged me tight. There was something different in that hug.

Maybe I was being paranoid, but it felt like she was trying to tell me something in that embrace.

I walked out of there feeling slightly confused and a little more confident about telling people.

Whenever Cat was ready, that was. I was not going to push her into it.

When we got back to the compound, Cat was waiting in Chry’s room. She was spread out on the bed, laptop in front of her as she studied. I was glad she hadn’t given up even though she’d missed over a week after everything happened.

“Hey!” she said all perky-like as she sat up. “How was dinner?”

“Great,” Chry answered. “Mom’s trying new recipes.”

“That’s awesome!” she said. There was something that crossed her face that hit me hard. She was happy, but there was a part of her that wished she’d been there.

That was it.

Something had to be done.

We were past the part of seeing if this would work. We knew it would. Hell, I think we all knew it would before we even started.

“Move in with us,” I blurted out much like Chry had to me a few hours ago.

Her stare became focused on me as she blinked half a dozen times.

“Yes!” Chry yelled out. “Move in with us.”

And then he went on telling her about the house Sidekick had found and the part of it that he wanted us to move into. How he’d be close to his bro-for-life. How we’d have our own space, and a spare bedroom, which told me that he hadn’t even planned on that extra room being for her now. We would all be sharing the main one. That made me smile. He went on about the kitchen and the yard. And the huge garage on Sidekick’s side, which apparently, was big enough for us to store our bikes.

Cat’s expression went from terrified to falling in love with the idea the more he talked.

“You really want me to move in with you?” she asked as if we weren’t sure about it.

“Fuck yes!” Chry said with a ton of excitement.

“What he said,” I replied more calmly, but I was smiling.

“Um…” She took in a deep breath, her mind clearly racing behind those blue eyes. “Okay. Yeah. I’d really love that.”

Chry tackled her, causing her to burst out in the most wonderful laughter. He peppered her face with kisses, ending with a big smacker on her lips. She laughed harder.

As I was lost in the beauty before me, thinking how my life was going to be amazing from here on out, they both snagged my belt loops and pulled me down into the pile.
