“Yes, Tavis, yes.” I threw my head back and spread my legs and arms wider. Paint was everywhere on the table, like I was bathing in it. It felt so good on my heated skin that I didn’t immediately notice Tavis crawling up on the table with me, now gloriously naked. So hard and ready for me that pre-come beaded the tip of his cock.

I took his shoulder and pulled him closer, leaving blue handprints, and then wrapped my other hand around his thick length as he straddled me.

“Ah, fuck yeah.” He bucked into my grasp so the paint lubed him from tip to base, and then he slid into me in one go.

I cried out, clinging to him, watching his perfect ass flex as he pumped into me, delightfully slow at first, the movement rolling through his entire body as graceful as fire and smoke. The blue dragon tattoo on his back undulated like its wings were flapping in the same rhythm, and then faster. I slapped handprints on his ass with a laugh, and he met it with his own before sweeping me up into another kiss.

He made me feel so free, like I could be as raw and open with him as he was with me. So I let my body and mind go while he ravaged me. Paint smudged his cheekbones, making his blue eyes impossibly brighter, and yellow dripped from the tips of his blue hair, drenching even more every time he dragged his lips from my mouth to nip at my neck, draw my nipple into his mouth, or whisper my name in my ear. Paint was soon everywhere, making our skin perfectly slippery as we climbed higher toward release.

Moving his hand to better hold my hips in place on the slippery surface of the table, he drove into me at a new angle and hit every sweet spot inside me I could imagine.

“Oh, yes.Yes.” I clung to his shoulders as divine heat coiled down deep. My toes curled into Tavis’s ass, bracing myself, my whole body thrumming. Then my orgasm sprang free, wild and fierce and sogood.

I pulsed and shuddered, pulling Tavis in deeper, and then he came, too, with one long groan into my kiss. His hips slowed as he gazed down at me, a sated, sweet smile on his face. His hair fell into his face, dripping slow muti-colored drips onto my forehead. Not that I minded. At this very minute, I didn’t mind a thing.

“We may have made a mess of things,” he said.

“Worth it.” I cupped his jaw, and he turned his head to press a kiss to my palm, which of course smeared paint across his lips. Even covered nearly head to toe in paint, he still looked as gorgeous as ever.

“Definitely worth it.” Grinning, he pulled out just as someone cleared their throat by the door.

The both of us whirled, but it was just Calhoun, looking smug and hot and very hard as he took us in.

“You give the term blue balls a whole new meaning, I see,” he said to Tavis.

“As do you, brother,” Tavis said, nodding to Calhoun’s obvious erection pressing against his jeans.

“I’ll deal with it later.” Calhoun flicked his dark gaze to me and slowly stroked himself, no shame whatsoever written on his face. Just heat and lust and hunger, all aimed at me. The dragon fire inside me responded instantly, and I slid off the table, my blood humming with newfound heat like I was some sex-starved beast.

Dragon shifter mating season—I fucking loved it.

I pointed to the piles of black clothes on the floor. “I’m sorry about your clothes. I’ll wash those for you or get you new ones.”

“If it means seeing you naked and covered in paint, I’ll live. I’m afraid I’m here to deliver news instead of finding where my breakfast went.” Calhoun looked to the cart of food and then back at me. “Both of them.”

I moaned and crushed my thighs together, still wet with paint and come.

“What news?” Tavis asked.

"Another interesting turn of events," Calhoun said, his face turning grim. "Our seer is missing."

"Why is it that everyone is going missing all of a sudden?" I demanded, my lust momentarily gone.

"Her entire shop was emptied and locked up tight, which probably means something scared her off.” Calhoun frowned. “Maybe she saw the fae coming and the possible war brewing in her visions."

"Maybe." I rubbed my fingers into my temples, desperate to scrounge up some answers, some solutions, anything.

"You know,” Tavis said, running his hands through his hair so it was a rainbow, “a while back, Vance mentioned a woman across the sea who can talk to gods, no Queen's Cross needed, though I'm not sure how she did it without one. Maybe we could ask her."

"You're saying we need to ask for help?" Calhoun asked.

Nodding, Tavis snapped his fingers, I guessed for his clothes, but nothing happened because of the lack of a power surge. He heaved a sigh and bent to pick up his jeans. "That's exactly what I'm saying. This whole thing has felt wrong from the get-go, and I feel it's only going to get worse."

"He's right,” I said. “We need help because it feels like we're already at war with the fae even though no one has officially declared it yet, and guess which new queen has never fought a war in her life?"

Although I guessed I kind of was. A Civil War among dragon shifters. My harem and me against the rest since they werenothappy with me being queen.

“Tavis, can you ask Vance to contact this woman who speaks to gods, whoever she is? Ask her if she can help? Because we have a war brewing. Not just one but two. The one againstallof you, and the one against me."
