“Oh, I’m sure it’s okay.”

“He’s um… not fully dressed though, so…” she hesitates, and I can almost see a blush on her cheeks.

“Yeah, we share a locker room every day, so I’ve seen it all already. Not to mention he’d probably run around naked if it wouldn’t get him arrested.”

“I noticed.” Her eyes flash in the direction of the door.

“That where they are?”

She blinks and recomposes herself as if she’s coming out of a fog, but she’s at least treating me like I’m a normal person now, so I’ll take it.

“Yes. I was just on my way to grab some clothes for him to wear for another short shoot we’re doing for the museum. You might work for it too. Would you be interested if one of the uniforms fits?”

“Uh… maybe. Once I get a chance to talk to Joss we can chat about it, okay?”

“All right.” She nods and then hurries past me out the door.

I knock on the door before I open it and then slide inside.

“Scarlett, you can just come in and out without knocking. Just make sure you shut the door. Okay, Westfield, pull the shirt off but do it slowly. Like you’re trying to seduce me, okay?”

I glance across the room where Tobias sees me and smirks. Joss is still too focused on getting the right angle with her camera, and she hasn’t looked up yet.

“Seduction. Not smugness, Westfield. There’s a difference. I hope you know it.”

“Oh, I know it.” He’s incredibly amused that she hasn’t realized I’m here.

“You’re pretty damn good in front of the camera. You have some magic. I bet the team photographers love you.”

“Everyone loves me.”

“Oh yeah, everyone? The rumors aren’t all bullshit then?” Joss smiles at him as she looks up from her camera and that right there is enough to make the ember of jealousy bloom into a fire.

“Absolutely not.” Tobias grins back at her. “Happy to give you a chance to find out.”

Joss raises a brow and shakes her head, a smile flitting over her lips. “That sounds like a terrible idea.”

He pulls his shirt all the way off and tosses it to the floor and she takes a few more shots of him.

“How so?”

“Because I don’t need that kind of trouble in my life. I have enough. Let me get another battery for the camera. This one’s getting low, and I don’t want to miss a shot if it goes out. In the meantime, strip out of those jeans. Or wait—do you have something on under them?”

“Yes ma’am.” He gives her a cheeky grin.

“Okay, then yes. Strip out of them and don’t call me ma’am again. Before you get completely naked, we probably need to make sure Scarlett is prepared, so she doesn’t have a heart attack.”

“I don’t know. I like seeing all the different shades of red I can make her turn. See if she can live up to her name.”

“You’re bad. Don’t let him get to you, Scarlett.” Joss shakes her head and then turns in my direction and nearly bumps into me. “Holy Fuck! Colt! I thought you were Scarlett. When did you get here?”

She grabs her chest as she blinks at me and takes in my presence, her eyes traveling up my body to my face.

“A while ago. You were busy, and I didn’t want to interrupt—the magic.”

Her brow furrows and then she gives me a sly once over. “What are you doing here anyway?”

“Tobias mentioned he was doing his photos tonight. I was in the neighborhood, and I figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea to see what to expect.”
