She squeals and catapults herself backwards onto the bed, landing on her back.

"Grey-" he starts.

"Shut up," I tell him.

She leans up and puts me in a chokehold. What the fuck?

"Are you having sex right now?!" He shouts through the phone.

"No, you fuck. Azalea has me in a damn chokehold," I grumble.

"Tap out Sugar," she whispers in my ear. It turns me on a little fucking bit. The whisper, not the choking.

I do the choking-stop.

Oh my god, I'm turning into her.

I don't think she knows that her arm isn't in the correct position and that it's just barely above my collarbone but I'm not saying anything.

"That's honestly not surprising at all. I would've been more surprised if you were actually having sex," he says and I wait for a couple more seconds before giving in and tapping out for her.

"You did good darling," she kisses my cheek before waltzing out of our room, talking about making waffles.

"Anyway, there's a case a couple of hours away with this runaway mother and her little baby. She's originally from Ohio but after the courts wanted to take her baby because she's an addict, she ran. It should be quick and easy so you can get backto your wrestling match soon," he tells me and I start getting dressed.

"Alright, I'll be there in a few," I hang up, putting the rest of my clothes on.

"Watch out Bear here comes the ultimate loser," Azalea announces as I walk into the kitchen.

"C'mere, it's okay you lost, don't be sad," she opens her arms for me and I walk right into them. She rests her head on my chest.

"Gotta go to work," I tell her and she nods.

"When will you be back?"

"Before three," I assure her, "it's a short one."

"Okay," she looks up at me and I lift her onto the counter.

She grips onto one side of my face and she pesters kisses all over the other side. I can't help but smile a little in anticipation when she gets closer and closer to my lips. Finally, she lands one where I really want it and I don't let her pull away, deepening the kiss.

Eventually, we pull away.

"I love ya, sweet-cheeks," she squeezes the sides of my face and I scrunch my nose at her like she does to me all the time.

"I love you too."

I glare out the window.

"It's not our fault you got here later than everyone else," Theo's voice travels up to the front of the SUV.

Usually, I ride in the same car as Roman. He mostly remains quiet and he drives the 'calm car.' That car was filled.

What was left? A seat in the car that everyone calls the fucking 'crazy train.'

Theo, of course, Lincoln, Maxon, me, and Jai. Thank God Sanfred doesn't do field work because I honestly couldn't handle another one of them.
