"He spilled the syrup all over my lap and I had to go home, shower, and change. And by the time I was done, he had to leave to go to work. So now, I haven't seen him since yesterday and I'm telling you, he's going to getgot."
Oh how I missed the so-called conversations between Mr. Terrip and me.
"I'm gonna hit him so hard, he'll think it was The Rock," I assure him.
I sigh.
"But it'll probably have to wait until later today. The bad guy was being difficult I guess and he has to work a little bit today too. He texted me a couple of hours ago."
"You've been talking about this man for an hour now," Mr. Terrip informs me.
"He's very easy to talk about," I bite back a smile.
I would like to tell Mr. Terrip about how Jake was involved with Grey and everything but I figure that since Jake never told anyone, then he just didn't want them to know.
"A flippin' pizza delivery girl flirted with him yesterday!" I suddenly remember and apparently this gets his attention because he turns his other ear toward me, the working one.
"He didn't flirt back, did he?" he raises a wary eyebrow.
"I'd leave if he did! He didn't though," I smile.
My first ever physical altercation would be with a pizza woman if she would've been touchy. And she most definitely would have lost...yeah.
I mean, she was a good eight inches taller than me but does she have my skills? I'm not sure but for my sake, yes.
Plus she's probably got some pretty big guns with carrying that heavy food all the time. Well, guess what? I'm pretty sure I was a weightlifter in a past life.
My phone dings with a text and I pull it out of my boob. Or my bra, wherever. It falls to Mr. Terrip's desk and he shoves it back over to me with the book in his hand. It's not like I've got cooties.
'Drive your ass to my place'Grey's lovely text reads and my socks are just blown off by the amount of charm that man has. He could be a prince, I'm convinced.
'Only because you asked nicely'I reply.
'Kiss my ass' he responds oh-so-sweetly.
I'll smack it. I laugh evilly internally. I peer at the clock on my phone and find that most of the day has already faded away. I'm pretty sure I was talking to Mr. Terrip for way longer than just an hour.
"I'm retiring Mr. Terrip," I tease, turning my phone off. His eyes flit over to me for only a split second.
"For today," I add and he nods as if he's saying 'that's what I thought.'
I bid my goodbye and head to Greys.
He must've seen me get here because he opens the door right as I'm walking up to it. Loud talking sounds behind him and he shuts the door as he comes out.
"Is that a party?" I hold back a laugh.
"We've got a new recruit assigned to our unit," he grumbles unhappily, "and they fucking showed up."
What a poor, poor thing he is.
"I already want her out. She won't stop fucking trying to talk to me. And she fuckin' stares," he rants.
"And you want me here, why?" I tilt my head in question.
"Why the fuck not? And she needs to see that I'm not fuckin' available for her bullshit. I'm only available for your bullshit," my heart jumps at his words and I bite back a smile.
"You couldn't have told her that?"
