I enter the living room and pull open the door.

A tall man stands on the other side of the door. He wears an expensive-looking suit and his hair is did up nicer than anyone else's hair I've ever seen in my life.

He's a spitting image of Grey.

Oh gosh.

"Is Grey here?" He looks down at me, his deep voice ringing in my ears.

"Uh..." I trail off. I'm not sure what Grey would want me to say.

Bear appears next to me suddenly and I feel a bit better about the situation.

The older man clears his throat.

"Who are you?" He narrows his eyes ever so slightly and I hold back from wincing.

I hear footsteps from behind me and I nearly let out a breath of relief. Grey shows up beside me, pants now covering his lower half.

"Son," the man nods and even though I thought originally he was Grey's dad, it still surprises me.

And I thought he said his dad was a deadbeat. This man looks the opposite.

I watch as Grey's jaw tenses.

"I'm just gonna," I trail off pointing down the hallway. I turn quickly and with Bear following, I return to our room.

Yikes.

I close the door behind me and place my ear up against the door.

I know it's terrible to eavesdrop but I can't help it.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I hear Grey ask him.

"Your grandfather passed away yesterday," the man replies, "his plane went down."

"It's not like I ever knew him," Grey retorts.

"That shouldn't matter, it's family," his father disagrees.

"I don't want to get started with the 'family' bullshit," Grey's voice grows agitated.

"Fine. Who's the girl?" His father changes the subject.

"That's none of your business."

"I mean it kind of is. She opens the door and then looks up at me and stutters like a retard-"

"Don'tfucking call her that," Grey turns even more agitated.

That's such a mean thing to say about me.

"Well that just told me she's not just a one night stand," the man chuckles.

There's a small moment of silence.

"Does..." he trails off, "does she live here?"
