"You're a trip," he sits his cheek on his hand, "whaddya want to drink?"

"Water. And he wants lemonade," I motion to where Jai sits.

"Who is that anyway?" he asks.

 My dog's boyfriend's cousin's aunt.

 "He's a friend, I guess," I shrug.

 "You guess?" his eyebrows raise.

Well, it's not confirmed if he's my friend or not, don't judge me bud.

Aaron returns to our table and Jai stands up with an apology for taking his seat.

"I'll go get your drinks," he leaves with his order pad in his hand like he actually wrote down what I ordered.

"He seemed friendly," Aaron speaks up as Jai goes to get our drinks.

"Do you know him or something?" He adds.

If I were to tell him that I know him because I asked him for an alcoholic beverage, he would have a heart attack, followed by a scold, followed by another heart attack.

 "He's my hooker."

Aaron and I both go quiet after what flew out of my mouth.

"God you're wild," he chuckles and Jai returns with our drinks in hand.

Jai bends down at my end of the table.

"I know you apparently don't want to hear this but, Grey'll be back pretty soon-"

I'm going to throw a tantrum here in front of God and everybody.

"Can I have a salad. But not one of those ones with thatkalestuff, y'know what I mean? I don't want lettuce either, lettuce, especially Iceberg Lettuce makes me sick. So, like a spinachsalad is good, if you have it. Oh! And ranch,a lotof ranch. I don't even like salad that much," I ramble out, trying to get my mind away from thinking ofGrey.

And I want to get out of here before Grey gets back.

"Aaron, order. What do you want?" I usher him, biting my bottom lip anxiously.

"Azzy, I haven't looked at the menu-"

"He'll take some chicken or something," I pick up his menu and mine, handing them to Jai who's trying to contain his smile.

He walks off and I meet the eyes of Aaron.

"What's got you in a rush?" He grabs the both of my hands in his worriedly.

"I have church to attend," I stay classy with my response, for once in my life.

I was thinking of telling him I had to poop but that wouldn't make sense because there's a bathroom here.

 "On a Thursday afternoon?"

"Yes, I hold my own service in my car," I nod.

"I'm a child of God," I add, giving him an innocent smile.
