My eyes lifted to Sebastian’s, their intensity burning through the haze of pleasure surrounding me. His face was flushed, lips parted, eyes dark with desire as he watched me writhe between the others. I reached for him, fingers trembling as they found his belt.
"Come here," I whispered, tugging him closer.
Sebastian moved without hesitation, positioning himself near my face. My fingers worked at his belt, then the button of his pants, sliding down the zipper with deliberate slowness. The stars around us pulsed brighter still as I freed him from the confines of his underwear, my hand wrapping around his hardness.
Sebastian inhaled sharply, his muscles tensing as I guided him to my mouth. My lips parted, taking him in slowly, savoring the weight of him on my tongue. His taste was uniquely him—something dark and sweet that reminded me of shadows and candlelight.
The pleasure spiraled through me, intensifying with each sensation—Mistral behind me, Sebastian at my mouth, and Crispin between my thighs. My body was heavy on the edge of completion, the magic of the ritual humming louder around us, calling for something more, something complete. With reluctance, I released Sebastian from my mouth, gasping as Mistral withdrew from my body.
"Wait," I breathed, my voice thick with need.
I moved to my hands and knees on the soft moss, my body trembling with desire and magic. The forest around us glowed as I looked over my shoulder at Crispin. Our eyes locked, and I arched my back, offering myself to him without words.
I watched his throat bob as his breath caught, his hands shaking slightly as he lowered his pants, then moved his hands to my hips. He positioned himself behind me, his hardness pressing against my entrance. I pushed back against him, my exhale seeming to soak right into the earth, making the flowers glow.
"Eva," Crispin groaned, his hands tightening on my hips as he began to move within me.
The magic surged through my body, connecting me to the land with each thrust. I reached for Gabriel, who knelt before me patiently. Without hesitation, I released him from his pants and took him into my mouth, relishing his sharp intake of breath as my tongue swirled around him.
Sebastian moved beside me, and I reached for him with my free hand, wrapping my fingers around his hardness. He hissed through clenched teeth, his hips jerking forward involuntarily as I began to stroke him in time with Crispin’s rhythm.
Mistral's hand stroked along my spine, a silent question.
I nodded frantically, unable to form words with Gabriel still in my mouth. Crispin pulled out, then Mistral's fingers traced between my legs, finding me more than slick and ready. I moaned around Gabriel as Mistral thrust back into me, hard.
My body trembled, suspended in a place between pleasure and magic. I could feel it now. It was time.
Mistral’s rhythm became more frantic, and I felt him release inside me, sending tingles throughout my body, making me clench around him. Then he abruptly pulled out, and Crispin was back inside of me, pounding against my hips, his fingers digging into my flesh.
His hands spasmed as he came, crying out. I would have cried out too, but Gabriel was still in my mouth, his big hands kneading my shoulders.
As Crispin slumped into the grass, Sebastian took his place, his dark magic snaking up my body to caress my breasts as he entered me. The orgasm finally hit me as he and Gabriel both came, my body filled to the brim with our combined magic.
Instead of screaming and fainting like before, I released it. It was as easy as exhaling.
The magic surged into the ground beneath us, lighting up the surrounding forest with an unearthly glow. I slumped onto my side, and Mistral cradled me against him. At my head, Gabriel stroked my hair.
Somewhere near my feet Crispin muttered, "Holy hells."
My body had gone limp in the grass. Holy hells was right.
TWENTY-TWO
It was fully dark by the time we finally made it to the Citadel. I was shocked to find the stone towers intact. I was sure I’d heard crumbling stone when we’d fled.
Mistral took my hand as we all looked up at the towers like they couldn’t possibly exist. “The land has given us a wedding present.”
My cheeks heated. A wedding present. While I wasn’t married according to human law, according to magical law, I was, and I wasn’t sure if it was just to Mistral after what had happened with the ritual. But that was what we were going with, for now. Especially considering Crispin and I had never even agreed that we were dating.
“We should find Eva something to eat before we head to the Silver Quarter,” Gabriel said behind us, always concerned for my neglected stomach.
“Food!” Ringo squealed from my shoulder.
I was glad he sounded happy. He’d fled into the forest with the other creatures when things had turned… carnal. I was ashamed to admit I had forgotten about him.
I also should have been dreading the visit to the Silver Quarter, but I felt entirely renewed, sleep and food be damned.Plus, since we hadn’t seen Lucas again, we’d probably find him there, and I was antsy to learn the exact plan my mom had in store for her grandfather.
“Food, then the apartment,” I looked down at what remained of my dress, “then the Silver Quarter,” I agreed. I glanced back to see if Sebastian or Crispin had anything to say about it, but Crispin wasn’t quite meeting my eyes.
