Sterling swept her hair behind her shoulders, his gaze sweeping over her face and down to the side of her throat. “You are so beautiful,” he murmured.
He could make even the simplest words sound like poetry, and he had enough of that memorized, too. By far, her favorite thing to hear on his lips was her name, and as their lips met, she felt a familiar surge of bliss.
Ella undid the band holding his hair back, digging her fingers into the lush black locks as she had longed to do on so many occasions. She never got tired of it. “And you’re the sexiest Dean I’ve ever seen.”
He chuckled, rolling her onto her back. “Is that so? I don’t have to worry about my replacement sweeping you off your feet next year?”
“Well, it is a big bed,” she teased, reaching down to unfasten his belt. “There’s always room for one more.”
He huffed, crushing his lips to hers. “He’d have to find a way to get past a possessive lion, a tiger and a jaguar first.”
Ella smiled against his lips, running her hands down his muscular chest. She wasn’t even sure she had the patience to wait until they were fully undressed, and since he’d just discovered she wasn’t wearing panties as his hand slipped under her dress, he didn’t seem to either.
“I’ve got my hands full enough already,” she purred, running her fingertips down the length of his thick shaft. Heat flared in his steel-hued eyes, and his body lowered onto hers as he pressed between her legs. Their fingers entwined, and Ella bit down on her bottom lip as he entered her.
“Sterling,” she breathed, slipping her hands back into his hair as he delved into her, slow but forceful, just the way that drove her mad. He always knew where to touch to elicit the most pleasure, his hands gliding down the curves of her body.
By the time his lips met her neck, she was already seeing stars. Her breath hitched in eager anticipation for the mingled pleasure and pain she knew was coming. She had already been marked twice, but each time was different. It was a wholly new experience, tinted with the flavor of each tom’s energy. They were all so different, so unique, but they complemented each other perfectly, as if they were always meant to be together.
Sterling’s tongue glided along her throat, making her shiver. She was already so close, every thrust of his hips bringing her nearer to climax. He took his time, always in perfect control, and she still marveled at the fact that he seemed to know her body better than she did. Now that she had noticed, she was aware of just how much time he spent studying it.
When she felt the warning nip of his teeth against her neck, she moaned and arched into him, eager for more. The second his fangs pierced her skin, pleasure laced with his icy cold energy spread through her, pushing her over the edge. She gasped as he came, filling her with his seed as their bond wove even tighter. She was still feeling the aftershocks of orgasm as he lapped up the blood he’d spilled, as if it was the most alluring thing he’d ever tasted.
“You like that a little too much,” she teased, panting.
He gave her a wicked smile as he rose off her only to pull her into his arms and nuzzle the spot he’d just marked. “You bring out my primal nature,” he admitted.
Ella couldn’t help but smile. She never would have imagined it when they met, but refined, elegant Sterling definitely had a wild side.
She finally fell asleep in his arms, her dreams filled with the blissful sensation of the mark continuing to strengthen. When the sunlight finally streamed into the room, she was still wrapped in his arms. She stretched contentedly as the door opened and Axel came in, followed by Bishop.
“Alright, time’s up,” Axel said in his usual brusque manner, throwing a pair of pants on Sterling. That woke him up. “We’ve still got a few hours before you two go off on your honeymoon, and I call dibs.”
Bishop frowned at him. “We talked about sharing.”
Axel rolled his eyes.
“What are you guys talking about?” Ella groaned, sitting up as Sterling climbed out of bed and got dressed. “It’s still so early.”
“Yeah, but your flight leaves at two, and you have to be at the airport before then,” Axel reasoned.
Ella and Sterling exchanged a look. “Should we tell them?” she asked.
She saw the curiosity on their faces, and the gleam in Sterling’s eyes told her he was enjoying the suspense. Some things never changed.
“I suppose,” she said. “Ourflight leaves at three, though you never were one to pay attention to the details.”
Axel frowned. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“It means you’re coming with us, idiot,” Sterling said as he pulled on a shirt, somehow making the word sound almost affectionate. “Pack your things.”
“What?” Bishop asked, looking over at Ella. “You were just mated...why would we come on your honeymoon?”
“It’s not like I got to go on one with you two,” she reasoned. “Sterling brought it up last month, and I agreed. We’re a family, so we’re all going together.”
For the first time ever, even Axel seemed at a loss for words.
“That’s generous of you,” Bishop remarked. “Are you both sure? What about Luna?”
