He pulled back farther and then drove into her.Her mouth opened, but no words came out.Determination lit his features, his brow furrowing. He drew back, then sank into her.Harder.A cry fled her, her legs frantically sliding up his sides. She rocked back into him.She needed more, more of this feeling of not knowing where she ended and he began. It was nothing she could have ever imagined. On his next retreat, she dug her heels into his back, pulling him against her as he snapped his hips forward, forcing him impossibly deep.
He stilled, his eyes slamming shut, fingers digging in so hard she was sure she’d bruise.“You.Feel.”A growl ripped from him.His harsh breaths echoed violently around them, punctuated by pained grunts. Finally, some of the tension left him.“Too fucking good.Once again, love, this is going to be pitifully short.”
“More, Derek.”She didn’t care if it would be short. It didn’t change that it waseverything.
She reached for him.He went to her instantly, bracing himself on a forearm above her.She delved into his hair, tangling her fingers so tight she hoped she’d never be able to let go.She tugged him down for a wild kiss, tongue and teeth clashing, while she ground against him, even as he remained still.
Derek pulled back from the kiss. With his eyes blown black, combined with his jet-black waves falling around his face, he looked like the devil coming to pull her down to the Underworld. Her Hades. And just like Persephone, she wouldn’t be able to resist him. She’d never been able to resist him.
“God, Livy. You need to stop grinding against me like that.”
“I don’t care, Derek.Lose yourself with me.Just let go.”
A growl tore from him, laced with frustration and resignation. He would give her what she asked for.And he knew it.
He straightened, then her hips were being lifted, her body shifted up the bed.Her legs tightened around him as he climbed onto the mattress, one arm sliding under her back.He held her tight, keeping them joined, as he settled on his knees.
It was wicked, the picture they presented. She had full view of their sweat-slicked bodies, the way hers led straight to where she rested in his lap, where they were joined, like they were one.
His biceps bulged while he held her hips and slowly thrust into her, the taut muscles of his abdomen rippling. She wanted—no, needed—this image of him permanently painted in her brain.Long, lean body.Chiseled, straining thighs.Rounded, solid chest.Neck stretched back, lips parted, rough exhalations exploding from him, coal-black curls swaying with every thrust.
Wild.Untamed.Breathtaking.
Her beast.
Mine.
“Touch yourself, Livy.”He gritted his teeth.“Get yourself close.Tell me when you’re at the edge. Then I promise I’ll give you everything you need. But I won’t go over without you.”
Her hand reacted before her lust-fogged brain could catch up.Her fingers skated in frantic circles, her attention locked on where he sank into her.He was so thick. She was so full.Oh, God.
Her senses screamed, overwhelmed, spiraling and coiling tight.
Hot velvet hardness dragged against her fingers, sinking into her.Deep.Hard.Determined.
Liquid heat flooded her.“Derek.Now.”
And he finally let the beast loose. The one she’d craved for so long.He fell forward on one hand, his other dug into her backside, yanking her into him as he snapped his hips.“Fuck.”A feral noise tore from his throat as he drove into her.Hitting places inside her that had her seeing stars.
She could never have imagined it would be like this. The way he rammed into her, like if he thrust hard enough, he could forever be a part of her, fuse them together. The tension in his body radiated against her, every bit of his violent lust consuming her.A man possessed. It was as though their bodies took on a life of their own, that’s how deep the need ran, how powerful it was. They were reduced to nothing but their reckless and raw desire for one another.
“I can feel you pulsing around me.God, it’s never been like this—” He broke off on a guttural noise.
The heat inside her burst into flame. She cried out, his name on her lips as she shattered. His hoarse shout filled the chamber as he buried himself deep, collapsing against her.His frame shook.Or perhaps it was her shaking. She didn’t know. She was in pieces, body and soul torn apart. They slowly floated back down, and as they lay there, trembling in each other’s arms, she melded back together.Around him, including him, forever him.
He immediately went to roll off her, but she latched onto him, pulled him atop her.
“Livy, I don’t want to—”
“You won’t, Derek.It’s all right.I promise.”
His weight, the feel of him on her, it didn’t bring back unwanted memories.Him surrounding her…now it made her feel safe.
Even with her reassurance, he pushed up, resting on shaky forearms, face inches from hers.He gently brushed his nose across hers.“I have never been more destroyed in my life.”His ragged breaths danced over her lips.“Fuck, Livy, I’m nothing but yours.”
She brushed a soft kiss over his lips.Though his words sank into her with a whisky warmth, trepidation lurked in the shadows.Reality waited there, whispering that he wasn’t truly hers. But a plan was in motion, and she hoped when she broached it with Derek tonight, he’d have some thoughts on how to make it happen as well. But just one more moment, enjoying this.Them.
A little while later, after Derek had taken care of cleaning them up and fetching her a lawn shirt to laze in, Livy sat atop his bed, snacking on cold meats, cheese, and bread.
