Daniel froze, then he lowered his gaze to her belly. “Are you saying you are with child?”
“I am astonished that you are surprised, given how often we tup.”
“Such crudeness,” he drawled with a devilish smile. “Seems I have created a monster. It is a good thing that I love you so much, my wife.”
She pinched his belly, and he laughed, tugging her into his arms to kiss her.
“Look,” he murmured against her mouth.
Georgianna turned around, gasping at the splendor of the rising sun. She leaned back against her love, basking in the fiery beauty of a new morning.
“I love you, wife,” he said, playfully nibbling her ear. “I am very happy we will have our first child soon.”
“I love you, too, Daniel.”
Her heart brimming with love and happiness, Georgianna and Daniel held each other as they gazed at the rising sun with promises of a new dawn.
