Lexie’s gaze locked onto Mitch’s, a hint of mischief glinting in their depths.
Oh yes, he thought.Tonight is going to be fun.
“You’re coming home with me, right?” Lexie whispered to him several hours later. Three empty pizza trays littered the table in front of them, along with half-drank bottles of beer and grease-covered napkins. Jay had disappeared hours ago, Berkley had gone to the bathroom, and Parker was so drunk he was half passed out across from them.
“Hell yes,” Mitch said without hesitation.
Her answering grin was devilish enough to make his dick instantly hard.
It took every single ounce of restraint Mitch had not to paw her in that cracked leather booth, but he managed.
Barely.
When the Ubers arrived, they climbed into theirs after seeing Berkley and Parker off in the opposite direction.
Mere seconds after the doors closed, Lexie climbed half into his lap and pressed her mouth to his.
Not exactly how Mitch pictured his night going, but he couldn’t deny that it was averywelcome turn of events.
Lexie was sexy as hell, with ridiculously long legs and bright golden eyes, and finally getting to tangle his fingers in her long, dark hair had him groaning against her mouth.
And thatmouth. Her full lips were as soft as he’d imagined while staring at her all night, and he couldn’t wait to feel them on other parts of his body. Her hands were everywhere, gripping his shoulders, trailing across his biceps and forearms, and knocking his hat off his head so she could rake her fingers through the shoulder-length, thick blond strands of his hair.
Mitch had to admit, he’d never been into girls touching his hair. But when Lexie did it, he was seconds away from coming undone.
He pulled away from her, gasping for air as she continued to press kisses along the column of his throat.
“Lexie,” he rasped. “We have to slow down.”
“Why?” She asked, and he was pleased to find her voice as wrecked as his.
Was she as turned on as he was? He desperately wanted to shove his hands in her pants and find out if she was as wet as he was hard.
“Because if you don’t stop doing that,” he whispered as she gently bit down on his earlobe, “I’m going to make a mess in this backseat.”
Lexie backed off, eyes wide, if a little unfocused, and the passing street lamps cast an eerie glow on her tan skin.
“My building is right there,” she said, pointing to a high-rise two blocks away. “I think you can make it.”
As if she was purposely trying to make him lose control in this cab with a perfect stranger three feet away, she leaned forward and pressed her mouth to his again, dropping one of her hands to palm his dick through his jeans.
“Goddamnit, woman,” he hissed, pulling back from the kiss and locking his fingers around her wrist, stopping her, even if her touch had his eyes rolling back in his head. “Are you trying to kill me?”
“Maybe a little,” she said, smiling against his mouth. “I’ve been waiting all night to do this.”
When she licked the seam of his mouth, he opened for her, that first touch of her tongue on his causing him to groan low in his throat. And he lost himself in that kiss, unable to remember why he’d wanted to slow down moments before.
The car finally pulled to a stop, the driver braking hard enough to jar them from their embrace.
They couldn’t keep their hands off each other in the elevator, and by the time they reached Lexie’s door, Mitch was so beyond turned on—his restraint moments from snapping—that he lifted her off her feet and backed her into the wall just outside her apartment. Her legs went around his waist instantly, and he pressed into her.
It amazed him how well, how easily, they fit together.
“Are you going to let me open the door, or are you going to fuck me right here?” Lexie asked, breathless, as he trailed his tongue along her exposed collarbone where her sweater had slipped off her shoulder. “I don’t mind, but I’m not sure my neighbors would appreciate it.”
She nodded at a camera over his left shoulder, and added, “The security guard might enjoy the show, though.”
Mitch growled but set her down, every inch of her slowly sliding against him as he did, his chest rapidly rising and falling with the effort of holding himself back.
