“Are you sure?” Jessica asked.
Jack threw his head back in exasperation. “Sunshine…” he warned.
A smile bloomed on her face, and Jack’s heart rate slowed in response. This girl. Even in the most terrifying moment of his life, shehadto needle him. Then again, he supposed it was payback for making her think he was ending their relationship, when he only wanted to make it official forever.
“I’m just saying,” she said. “Maybe you’ve finally grown sick of me.”
“Never,” he said quickly. “I moved halfway across the world for you because youaremy world.”
“Aww, that’s sweet.”
“Jessica! Please put me out of my misery and answer the question.”
She held her left hand out to him, and his breath left him in a sigh of relief.
“Yes, honey. A thousand times, yes.”
