“Oh, yes…right there.”
Now that I had found the perfect angle to drive her over the edge, I’m not stopping. She gasps again and I snap. A mindless rhythm overtakes me and I pound into her fast and deep.
“Oh God!” she cries out. “Kit, don’t stop.”
She ripples around my cock, her muscles spasming in release. Her entire body jerks uncontrollably underneath me as she keeps calling my name. If she’s trying to drive me insane, it’s working. I completely lose it.
I ramp up the depth and speed of my thrusts. She grabs my hair and drags my face up so that our lips clash at the very moment I come deep inside her. I groan against her mouth as she holds me tight with her pussy muscles until the very last shudder is gone and I’m spent.
“I don’t want to move,” I say minutes later. “Ever.” I collapse on top of her, and she leisurely trails her fingertips up and down my back.
“So don’t,” she whispers. “Stay right here. Sleep with me tonight.”

JADE
The next day, I wake up alone in bed with the bright sunlight streaming through the windows. Reaching around behind me, I find Kit’s side of the bed cold and empty. That’s not a surprise since I’m learning none of the guys lounge around in bed. They’re all hardworking men who work their asses off for that bastard Giovanni. I throw back the bedcovers, dress quickly and go into the kitchen in search of Kit.
I find him standing at the coffeemaker, carefully measuring out coffee grounds, with a puzzled expression on his face. He’s wearing his favorite gray sweatpants and a white T-shirt stretched tightly across his muscled chest. His long, blonde hair is tousled from our wild night.
“You’re making me coffee?” I ask with a hopeful smile.
“I’m trying,” he says, smiling back at me. “I need to leave for work in ten minutes, but I wanted you to wake up to the smell of fresh coffee brewing.”
I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. “You’re doing fine, thank you. I appreciate the effort because I’m addicted to caffeine.”
He hits the button to turn on the coffee pot and turns around to face me. Wrapping his arms around me, he folds me into his body. “Are you okay this morning?” he asks in concern. “I didn’t hurt you, did I? I shouldn’t have been so rough with you.”
I smile up at him. “No, I’m fine. Better than fine, actually. I loved everything about being with you. No need to apologize for anything.”
“You accused me of manhandling you when I carried you out of the club,” he reminds me. “Are you sure I didn’t hurt your leg when I slung you over my shoulder? I was angry and not as gentle as I should’ve been with you. I’m sorry for behaving more like a wild beast than the gentleman you deserve.”
“Maybe I enjoy being manhandled by you,” I tease him, leaning in closer. “Are you sure you need to go to Vegas this morning? I was hoping to persuade you to hang around today.”
He lets out a regretful sigh. “Unfortunately, I’m required to be at a rehearsal this morning. Believe me, there’s nothing I’d love more than to spend the day in bed with you. Then I have a performance late tonight, so it might be after midnight before I come home.”
“I’ll wait up for you,” I tell him.
“I would love that,” he says, leaning over to give me a soft kiss on my lips. “Can you please stay out of trouble today while I’m gone?”
“I’ll try,” I reply, not meeting his eyes. “I can’t make any promises.”
A frown replaces his warm smile. “I wish you wouldn’t say things like that.”
“Would you rather I lie to you again? You were right when you said you deserve better than to be lied to. I came to Vegas for a reason. I haven’t given up on finding Natasha and trying to convince her to work with me. She’s in grave danger and I will feel terrible if the Russians get to her first.”
He blows out a long breath. “At least you’re being honest about where your head is at. We’re all worried sick. You’re in over your head and don’t even realize it. All we’ve been trying to do is protect you. From the Russians, Giovanni, and most of all, yourself.”
I place my hand on his arm and lean up to kiss him again gently on the lips. “I realize that, and it’s appreciated.”
He pulls me tighter up against him in a bear hug. “Isn’t there anything we can say or do to keep you from trying to find Natasha? Nothing good will come of this. Nothing.”
“I need a little more time, that’s all. If nothing pans out, then I’ll consider dropping it and moving on to my next plan.”
“Whatever that plan is, remember that you have people here in Vegas who care for you,” he says.
I nod back at him. “I will.”
