“She seem off to you?” I ask Rhian, who is also watching her storm off.
“Benson riles her up.” Rhian shakes his head, turning back to me. “We should dance. I think I saw Colter too.” He takes my hand and pulls me away from the bar. All I ordered was a lime in sparkling water, so I’m not worried about losing my drink.
“You want to dance here?” I ask curiously, lifting my brow at him, but he just shrugs. “You don’t seem the dancing type.” Sure, he danced with me at the community center, but that seemed more like an exception.
Rhian glances my way, before pulling me onto the dance floor and into his body. “For you, anything,” he says, and I have to look away from him to avoid melting into a puddle before him.
“We all kind of look ridiculous,” I point out, as I look at the other people dancing around us. “Witches and scare crows, and pixies, oh my!” I tease, nodding to a super cute costume beside us.
I’m still dressed as a witch, but I decided to go a little sexier for the bar than I did to pass out candy.
Plum is a sexy elf now too, no more witch hat, and she took off her leggings to reveal red stockings.
I’m in a deep forest green satin bustier, with a short back lace skirt. My tights are sparkly, and I went with black platform heels. The extra three inches isn’t enough for me to be Rhian’s height, but it helps me wrap my arms around his shoulders better.
“You look hot as fuck, Sable. If anyone looks ridiculous, it’s me,” Rhian grumbles as he leans back to get a better look at me.
“You both look hot,” Taron growls, but when I look over my shoulder, he isn’t there.
“Did you hear that too, or am I losing it?” I ask, and the other omega chuckles.
“Taron has been doing this to me for a while now. I’m used to it,” he admits, but his scent tells me he also enjoys it.
I have to admit, I’m not mad at the effect Taron has on Rhian. I think the alpha makes him bolder. More daring. Gives him a safe place to be who he really is, even if that doesn't fit the classic omega mold.
“Omegas,” Colter says beside us, startling a squeak out of me, since I wasn’t expecting him. Rhian releases me so I can hug the alpha.
“Damn,” Rhian grunts when I finally release Colter and take a step back. We’re on the edge of the dance floor, so no one is bothered by our lack of movement as we chat.
“What?” Colter blushes, glancing down at himself. “Do I look stupid? I told those fuckers at work I didn’t want to wear this, but they fucking whined for two weeks!” Colter starts glancing around us, clearly looking for whoever ‘those fuckers from work’ are. “I knew matching costumes was stupid,” Colter growls, but I shake my head, placing my palm on his bare chest.
“You look really hot,” I confess, glancing at Rhian, who nods his agreement.
“Sexy fireman? Yeah, you look like omega catnip.” Rhian wiggles his brows, leaning into me as we stare at the alpha together, both basically drooling over the man.
“I feel objectified,” Colter grunts, clearing his throat, making Rhian and me giggle.
“You should. We are absolutely objectifying you right now. I mean, look at you.” I gesture to the unbuttoned navy blue top and black slacks. His shoes are sleek black pleather, shined to perfection. The slutty black and gold aviators are what really sells the look though. It’s givingTop Gun, and I wanna lick the man all over.
Rhian clearly agrees, because he lets out a little whimper when Colter focuses his attention on him.
“Criminal, really, that you ever hide these muscles from us.” Rhian shakes his head, but whatever Colter might have said is cut off by Taron wrapping his arms around the other omega's waist.
“You like his body more than mine?” Taron growls in Rhian’s ear before passing him into Colter’s arms. “And what about you, Little Ghost? Do you like their bodies more?” The ghost face mask he wore the day in the supply room, and for our chase just a week ago, stares back at me, and I freeze for a moment.
Taron is shirtless, in tight black jeans that are all ripped up. His torso is covered in black coal marks and fake blood, really selling the sexy killer look.
“Look at her, all three of them just all over her! They aren’t even courting her,” someone, a woman based on their feminine voice, sneers behind me. I freeze, the back of my neck burning with embarrassment. I want to run the fuck away. I don’t think the guys know how to react either, but I’m shocked back into the moment when Colter glares past my head before yankingme into him. He’s still got Rhian pressed against him, but that doesn’t stop him from holding me just as tight.
“Are you okay?” Rhian asks, and I shake my head no. “Assholes,” he growls, glaring at the people around us. Taron is having none of this though, as he rips the mask off his face.
“Hey, look at me,” he says, cupping my cheeks. “You’re better than all of them. You’re everything.” He glances up at Colter, who nods. “Now or never, sweet omegas.” He winks, before releasing me and stepping back.
“What’s he–” Rhian starts but gets cut off by Taron shouting.
“Cut the fucking music!” he snarls as he pulls us along behind him as he heads for the bar. One of his employees must have heard him because the music shuts off mid-song, and my ears ring in the quiet. I watch as he points a finger in the air, makes a circle, and then holds up three fingers. I squint, completely confused.
“Taron?” I ask quietly, but he’s focused. His scent is burning with agitation, and I hate that I can’t protect the guys from this. I watch him with wide eyes as he climbs up onto the bar top. Colter holds Rhian and me both in his strong arms, making me feel safer than I ever remember feeling in this town. A spotlight clicks on, shining right on Taron, as Rhian and I share a confused glance.
