We all wait silently for a few minutes before Drake’s voice finally comes over the line again.“It’s Zac, but I have no idea who the others were. Shit, Zac’s leaving. Do we follow?”

“Yes, but stay out of sight. Keep us updated on his location.”

“Will do, Pres.”

I turn and gesture around the room at the others. “Get pictures of all this if you haven’t already and put everything back the way it was. Get cameras in here and anywhere else you guys think would be a good location. The rest of us, pull back into the woods. We’ll watch and wait for the right time to nab him. If he comes home alone, we’ll move in.”

I turn towards Lark, my anger growing when I notice she’s standing in front of the pictures of her house burning, her gaze bouncing between the pictures and the notes Zac has pinned to the board. Walking over to her, I pull her into my arms. She looks up at me, her eyes blazing in anger.

“He ismine,” she seethes. “And when I get my hands on him, he is in for a world of hurt.”

Fuck, if I wasn’t already in love with this woman, that would have been the starting point. I grin darkly and her angry scowl morphs to match my dark grin. As she leans into me, her body loses some of its tension. I don’t know if she thought I’d keep her out of dealing with Zac, but I never would, even if I do worry she’ll have nightmares after the fact.

“We’ll get him, Darlin’, and he’ll pay for everything he’s done.”

Lark opens her mouth, but static coming over the earpiece silences whatever she was about to say.

“Uh, Python, can you please repeat what truck and license plate was tagged with Zac’s tracker?”

I pause at Nathan’s words and then I grit my teeth as realization slams into me.

“It’s a blue Ford F150, license plate ST5987. Why?”

“Because after leaving the tavern, Zac got into a black Ford F150, license plate MN4826. The two guys he was with got into a dark green SUV, license plate RHM 371. That blue F150 is still back at the tavern, unless he had someone else get it after we left.”

I curse.“Which direction is Zac heading now?”

“I’m about to get on the interstate heading south. Drake is following the SUV, not sure on his location since they went in the opposite direction of us after leaving the tavern.”

“I’m heading north on the back roads,”Drake cuts in. “I managed to get a picture as the guys were getting into the SUV. Didn’t recognize them. Sending it to you now, Reaper and Python.”

My phone dings and I dig it out of my pocket. Pulling up my texts, I frown when the picture comes through. I have no idea who these two guys are.

“Those are two of the four guys that kidnapped me. The driver is the same one that was driving before and the passenger is the one that held me at gunpoint. They could lead us to the other two,” Lark says, and a chill runs down my spine.

“Drake, keep tracking them, but stay out of sight. We’ll send back up to your location. Same for you, Nathan.”

“You got it, Pres,”Nathan and Drake say almost in unison.

“Python, run the pictures, see if you can get a hit. Keep an eye on Zac’s credit card in case he manages to give us the slip.”

“Will do, Pres.”

Turning, I nod in approval that the guys nearly have everything packed up.

“Uh, Reaper, Lark, you’re gonna want to see this,” someone calls out from the bedroom.

Internally, I curse. What now?

With one last look around the room, I turn on my heel, heading back through the hidden door. Punisher raises a book or a notebook. It’s wire bound and a few inches thick.

“What is it?” I ask as I cross the room.

“Seems our friend here has been pretty busy. He’s not just stalking our Queen, he’s also been keeping tabs on Ashcroft and the Coxes, though it’s mainly that bitch, Kelly. On top of that, it seems like Zac here might be on Richard’s payroll or heavily connected to him. There are notes in here about doing his dirty work for him.”

I take the book from him and as I flip through the pages, my disgust rises with each entry. The stupid fucker has kept a journal of everything he’s been doing. As I turn another page, I catch sight of the date at the top, which was just a few days ago. Flipping back to the beginning of the book, I’m surprised to see that the first entry is for January of last year.

“Is there any others?”
