“Yes, little one?”

“What happens if the judge sentences me to jail rather than places me in the custody of yourzoshin?” All the brothers seemed certain she would be placed in a behavioral rehabilitation program in their custody, but she couldn’t stop thewhat-ifsfrom racing through her mind. “Or what if the judge places me in the custody of…another zoshin?” Dread filled her heart at the very possibility, but she had to ask the question.

Daddy Torin’s face darkened and he drew a deep breath as his muscles tensed. His hold on her tightened and the fullness of his hardening manhood pressed against her stomach. “Then my brothers and I will make a scene and claim you as our mate in the middle of the courtroom. No judge could legally keep you away from us then. We will do whatever it takes to keep you in our possession, little one.”

He tipped her face up and kissed her hard. Then he left her quarters as quickly as he’d appeared, leaving her alone with her thoughts and the taste of him lingering on her lips.

Her heart raced. Would they really claim her in the middle of a courtroom, in front of a judge and whoever else happened to be in the room? Though it shamed her, her pussy throbbed at the prospect of being watched as a group of six strong Khanndoran warriors took their turns with her, fucking her and spilling their seed deep inside her to seal their status as her life mate.

She turned the shower on and stood beneath the hot spray of water as she considered her time spent with Torin and his brothers. The last seven days had been the best of her life. She hadn’t felt lonely once since Torin had discovered her in hiding, and though the brothers could be stern, a growing part of her craved their unwavering dominance. Hungered for it, even. They’d given her boundaries and rules but filled her world with affection and attention.

It was crazy. She’d known them for but seven days and couldn’t imagine ever parting from them. Yet she hadn’t begged them to claim her as their life mate yet. There were still a few stubborn walls around her heart and a logical voice inside her head that sometimes screamed for her to fight them. But that voice was easily drowned out because surrendering to them felt too right. She felt whole when she was in their company, and even when she was alone in her room just knowing they might appear at any moment—which they’d made a habit of doing over the last few days—always lifted her spirits.

Once she finished in the shower, she dried off with one of the large plush towels and brushed out her wet hair. She stood in front of the hair dryer that was built into the wall and not for the first time marveled at how quickly it dried her long, wavy locks. She hurried back into the bedroom but soon came to a halt.

There, in the view screen, was Khanndora. She was certain of it. From space, it appeared similar to Earth—a blue and green planet swirling with areas of white cloud cover. But it definitely wasn’t Earth. The continents were shaped differently and she spotted three moons in orbit, making her ever aware that she was a long, long way from home.

She glanced at the outfit Torin had laid out for her. A yellow dress with a huge white bow around the waist, a pair of white panties, and a pair of yellow slippers that had a white bow on the toes to match the dress. She couldn’t help but smile at the detail he and his brothers put into replicating all her new outfits. After getting dressed, she went into the bathroom to admire her look in the mirror and couldn’t help but spin in a circle and watch as the skirt flared outward.

The brothers had confiscated all the clothes she’d brought in her backpack, and while she didn’t have a choice about what to wear, she couldn’t deny she liked the way she felt while wearing such a cute, girlish outfit. She used to wear such clothes when she was much younger, during happier days when her mother was still alive. The clothes reminded her of a simpler time, before the stress of growing up, struggling to please her father, and trying to fit in with her peers.

She hadn’t had many friends on Rissa Island before attending the university. She’d been homeschooled by the best tutors her father could buy until going off to the university where she’d experienced her first bit of freedom. Perhaps she’d gone a little wild during the past year, partying frequently and dating the sort of guys who were bad news, immature horny college guys who simply wanted to add a Vega girl as a notch in their headboards.

In her search for affection, she had welcomed their attentions and rarely said no. But during the light of morning, she had always felt deeply ashamed and even lonelier than before. Because they didn’t really care about her. They always left, never to return again.

Khanndorans mate for life.

This fact kept playing over and over in her head. Torin and hiszoshinwould never leave her once she became their life mate. But that also meant she wouldn’t be free to leave them. Not that she was planning a future escape at the moment, not having the choice to leave caused her not a small amount of worry. She’d spent her whole life studying otherworldly languages, dreaming of the day she might be able to use her knowledge. She’d fancied herself working as a diplomat to an exotic planet or a translator for an important alien leader. Exploring the known universe but always returning to Earth, even though part of her still believed there was nothing left for her on her home planet.

She supposed she wanted a purpose in her life that was greater than herself. A reason to wake up every day that didn’t feel as hollow as the endless parties and dates she’d experienced at the university. Could she find a purpose on Khanndora living as the life mate to azoshinof warriors? The thought of children danced through her mind and she couldn’t help but smile. Whenever she daydreamed about her future, aside from her musings of occupational glory she also pictured herself as part of a big happy family. She would have a loving husband and a couple of children. Or in this case, husbands.

After tying her hair into a low ponytail that trailed down her back, she returned to the view screen in the bedroom, her gaze on the planet that might very well be her forever home.

Once she was officially identified by photo recognition and fingerprints, would the Khanndoran officials offer her the chance to contact her father, another family member, or a friend? She again wished she’d studied the cultures belonging to the languages she’d so studiously learned. On Earth, when you were arrested you typically were allowed a phone call. Her friend Heather had been arrested for underage drinking a few months ago and had used her one phone call to contact her family’s lawyer for help. But even if Makenna were offered the chance to contact someone, she didn’t think she would take it.

Her father would be furious at her for causing him embarrassment, both her siblings would be exasperated by the situation she’d gotten herself in, and her friends would simply be worried. She didn’t want to make anyone mad or cause anyone to worry about her. She especially didn’t want to ruin her friends’ vacation on Phennulos.

Of course, they would find out soon enough what she’d done, no matter what. Intergalactic news was a booming business. Communication arrays placed in each wormhole allowed near instantaneous contact between all the worlds connected by the arrays. Her father had reached trillionaire status not long after investing in the arrays, which had been constructed and released into the wormholes when she was a small child.

She supposed she ought to at least contact her friends at some point, but she decided it was probably best to wait until the judge had sentenced her. No need causing them additional worry.

My brothers and I will claim you as our mate in the middle of the courtroom.

Daddy Torin’s recent proclamation flitted through her mind and caused a quickening between her thighs. It didn’t matter what the judge said. Thezoshinof six Khanndoran warriors planned to take her home with them, even if they must rapidly claim her in front of an audience to get what they wanted.

Nagen

Once theRithonawas safely landed on the military base in Hegg, Nagen stood and stared at each of his brothers. “I will keep our future mate out of harm’s way until the trial.” His brothers nodded, displaying their understanding and trust in him to do as promised. With that, he departed the bridge and headed for Kenna’s quarters.

He, along with each of his brothers, had specific duties to attend to after returning to Khanndora. Since he was in charge of overseeing the unloading and distribution of the goods in the cargo hold, a task that his brothers could easily split amongst themselves in between all the meetings and debriefings they must attend, Torin had suggested Nagen escort Kenna to the Criminal Processing Center and remain with her at all times. He was a respected warrior, and the officials and guards in processing did not outrank him and therefore could not order him to leave her side.

He entered Kenna’s bedroom to find her wearing a yellow dress that flared out slightly and was cinched at the waist with a thick white ribbon. With her matching slippers and hair tied in a loose ponytail, he thought she looked delectable. His cock shifted in his pants as he strode toward her, his blood humming as it always did when he was in her presence.

She swallowed hard and peered at him, her eyes flickering with nervousness. “We’ve landed. I guess that means…”

He reached for her, clasping her hand and giving it a squeeze. “It means you have nothing to fear, little girl. We will protect you.”
